Liz-I thought your pendant was beautiful

Cecily-I guess glad for MRI but is the urine test more definitive? In any event, I'm sorry to hear that and hope your dad gets the very best care.

DD-oh no! HOpe he can get in and get tested.

There is so much conflicting information about this covid. I think that's one of the difficulties in following advice. We don't really know what the advice is!

For example, my aunt and uncle are a little OVER anxious about it. They got tested because my aunt's realtor's husband had tested positive. Mind you, this was after the wife (aka the realtor who was around my aunt who was around my other aunt and uncle) had already tested positive. Therefore, they basically had no interaction with covid. Right? I mean that's my understanding.

And then I'm really ticked with DSD. Her roommate tested positive for covid like last Tuesday but DSD was like "I'll get a test when I get to the lake. I asked my BF's parents and they said they'd already been around me." UGH!!! So many things wrong. First of all, I think that's analogous to saying "I already had unprotected sex once so I might as well keep doing it." My understanding is that you might be around someone and not get infected, but you're increasing your chances the more you do it!! And if all of them got it, they could each spread it, multiplying the effects. Ultimately she could not get a test there, but "tried" (not very hard imho) to get tested here and supposedly her family doctor told her not to worry about it. She's been going to work even. I guess at least she has a mask. But as much as I'm ticked at her, it sounds like Peps experienced the same kind of shoulder shrug in regard to testing.

Which then just kind of makes me feel like "well crap, if DSD doesn't care, and her doctor doesn't care, we're all gonna get it anyway."

Oklahoma is now on a quarantine list for NY. Our numbers have increased twofold but it's hard to find that info in our news! So I don't know what to think. The deaths have increased too, but not at the pace one would expect. I know they say that's a lagging indicator, but we've been open for 2 months now. I'll be interested in how this data plays out. I hope somehow the virus is weakened.

I took the girls berry picking today!! So fun! Bad Bonnie says this means a blackberry cobbler is in order.

I am trying to keep them away from indoor activities. But I can tell a huge boost in their behavior (and mine!) when we're out and about.

In the meantime, my heart aches for everyone experiencing isolation, job insecurity, everything else. Mental health is health too.

Thanks, BB! I guess the MRI with contrast is looking for larger masses. The urine test picks up small amounts of cancer cells that are shed from the lining of the bladder, so it's going to catch it sooner.
