Weight 122.2, WW Bluepoints 9. I expected a tick up on the weight after high weekend eating. Even though I see it all the time I always think the delay before it registers is odd.

Thank you for the comments on the pendant. I actually don't know anyone else who has done this. SIL was only married for 2 years and she has been a widow for 20. She still wears her rings on her wedding finger. As did my mother and MIL who were both widows for way longer than they were married. I had the longest marriage of all of us (38.5 years), but I do want to date at minimum and hopefully just have an interesting guy to do things with. I figured wearing rings was a hands-off -- I am not over my DH sign. But I still want to wear them. Hence the pendant and once done being re-sized my diamond ring will be on my right hand. I searched for a few months via google to find a good pendant idea as I didn't want to just string it on a chain.

Today is trash out, laundry, and dishwasher to be run day. Maybe I will fit in a short beach visit and/or a long Justice walk. I made a great lobster salad from lobster in the freezer last night and today I am cooking my light crab cakes which I love. Tomorrow David is taking me to his favorite sushi place.

Oh, and I saw a comment including some information Ann had supplied on FB. Boy do I miss her!

My neighbor began jackhammering in their backyard at 7am. 3 hours later, still at it. I may go crazy before the day is out.

Heavy day on the phone all day with my bff yesterday as his oldest dog was not doing well. The vet thought perhaps a blood clot in her spine. She was in so much pain and her front legs not working that my friend ultimately had her put to sleep late last night. He wasn't allowed to be with her (Covid), but the vet staff said they were all with her. Old dogs are the hardest! Cuddle your babies today (unless you're Ferg and you're not a cuddler, then just some good scritches).

Yesterday was a decent eating day. Not overdone.

My dad had gone to Mayo for his delayed check and while his contrast MRI and bladder scope showed nothing bad, his urine test showed cancer cells. It's been more than a year with none of that, but he was always told it would come back. So he'll have surgery on July 22 to take one area they weren't sure if it was scar tissue or an emerging lesion, biopsies from all over the bladder lining and a biopsy from his prostate that the doctor said he doesn't liked the look of. I'm glad they're jumping on it. The goal has always been with his bladder cancer to keep it inside the bladder. Once it leaves again, there won't be anything else to do.

Therapy today and that's all that's planned so far.

So sorry to hear about your Dad's check up. I'm very glad he is using Mayo. I use the Fairview system, which is part of the University of Minnesota. If they didn't exist, I wouldn't consider anything other than Mayo. They are top notch.

Thank you, DD! There is a huge comfort in knowing he's being treated by the best of the best given the aggressiveness of his cancer. There's no worrying that someone else might have been able to treat it better. 1000% not the case when he was getting treated by a urologist in MI (who never had him see an oncologist!!).

So today's excitement, we forgot to put the trash containers out last night. But, this morning, I heard the truck rumbling down the street and we got them to the curb in time. We must celebrate whatever victories we can in these uncertain times.

My only plan today is to drive my daughter to CVS to pick up a prescription. I think I'd better come up with some other plans, that isn't enough to keep me occupied.

I ordered a bunch more books that should arrive tomorrow. For years and years, during the lean times, buying a book was a luxury I couldn't afford. I got books from the library, as gifts, from the $1 section at Half price books, Goodwill etc. I found many great treasures, but it feels so wonderful to go ahead and buy a book I want to read right now, and not have to wait for it too show up in some thrift store or become available at the library.

I play garbage truck chicken every other week! It's when Morning Ceci curses Nighttime Ceci for her laziness...

Oh good heavens, my husband just called me from work, and one of his co-workers just had a positive covid test. DH doesn't work directly with him, but he does need to go into the area of service center where this young man works. I'm more worried about who else works with the covid positive co worker, and have they been in the break room with DH or staff meetings where they aren't always wearing masks.

Researching what DH needs to do to get a test. He has the next 2 days off. We are discussing whether he should go back to work on Friday. We're leaning towards having him use FAmily Leave Act until my surgery. He is already scheduled for vacation for the week of my surgery....

Wow - tough timing. Maybe you can get DH's test prioritized with your surgery coming up, then he stays home until then (assuming he is negative)?

I called the Breast Health Clinic that oversees my care in all of this, and they said DH just needs to contact his PCP, who is in the same system, and he will order the test. DH is also cleared now to take a leave of absence, and won't be back at wor****il July 28th. If there are more coworkers testing positive at that point, we'll have to make further adjustments. We have been saving $ since the pandemic started to tide us over if he needed to take an extended leave before we even knew about the cancer, and now we are really happy we did that.

Oh boy! Normally, my reaction would be, oh.... just wait and see. But with your upcoming surgery that's not an okay attitude. You do need to be sure that you will be cleared for surgery. Thinking the very best thoughts for you!!!!
