The mystery of the tail is solved! Jesse was over today- I asked him, and to his knowledge, the tail is natural.

However, the breeder got right back with me, and after gushing over Swann's birthday picture I sent, let me know that they nip the tails at two days of age- thus the taper, but yes, the "pencil tip" is absent. I'd a never even thought of it if you hadn't mentioned doubts.

Well, I'm glad the mystery is solved. Yay!!!
