Ugh, and in the age of coronavirus, everything is more complicated and moves slower. Sorry.

My Mom is really struggling. She has one of those little gizmos to measure oxygen saturation, and hers is sometimes dropping into the 80s. This should qualify her for oxygen. She's 9 years past partial lung removal, so she's done well managing on her own, but the time has come. Getting a doctor to prescribe it has been another $&it show. I don't know where my mother finds these doctors. Anyhow, my sil who is a home health CNA is on it now too. She knows how to get these things done. So in the don't share air, I began to wonder if my Mom having her own supply of oxygen would also give her some Covid protection?

Good Morning All

Popping in after a wakeful nights sleep. Couldnt get settled last night. Think its the COVID suburb lockdown that was announced last night - its effective as at midnight tonight. Both my stepkids are included due to postcode only which is frustrating. My DIL was nearly in tears at the thought I wouldnt be able to come every Tuesday night. We have agreed we will do next week then see what happens as I need to be in that area to meet DH on the Wednesday as he will be home from QLD. We need to load all this luggage etc into our car and then take the hire car back to the airport. I had planned to go to DSS as per normal Tuesday night and stay the night - have taken Wed off as annual leave so I can spend time with the grandbabies. Planned to bake cookies with Ashton and help with the chores etc. Plus make a big welcome home roast for DH and them.

Worked solidly over there last night. Dinner, dishes, folded a lot of washing and popped another load out. Got both the boys dressed and into bed while DSS and DIL went to collect a set of drawers before lockdown. Both the boys settled beautifully for me - straight off to sleep which is a nice feeling. Ashton (elder one) was finding it hard to wait his turn for Nanna Shirley while I gave Elliot his bottle and put him down for the night. I could hear him choosing the books he wanted me to read. They make my heart full in so many ways.

Today is another busy one. Have work and then will pack the ute, head over to my Ex Husbands and collect a trailer loaded with tyres for my nephew. DS rang and asked me to tow it up last night. Then up to the farm till Sunday. I have a sick chook atm so shes crated in the laundry. I had to remove a growth from her waddle yesterday and treat her for mites. Her foot is also swollen but I couldnt see any bumblefoot as I expected. I will wait and see what happens. She will have her sore leg dipped in olive oil today to drown any remaining mites - hoping this will help her start to feel a little better

I had best keep running - lots to achieve today

Hope you all have a wonderful evening

Greetings Great People

Sorry to have been a party poop. Just not a lot of news here. Amazing how life grinds down into slow gear during quarantine. You guys wear me out with all you do!!!Just kidding.

Well I have worked at both galleries and the studio now has permission to conduct pottery classes which is good news. We are on the edge financially though I think we will make it and I will loan $$ if needed (though I have not put that out there yet.).Board meeting tomorrow for which I might need tranquilizers.

Speaking of which, I picked up chill pills for the dog for July 4 noises. Maybe I should take them myself!

Liz, glad you had a nice time with David and wishing you more. Nice to have a friend who is not like the obnoxious guy in Florida. Have fun kayaking. The sea kayaker outfitters here are the one business that is doing super well around here.

Boo indeed Peps on the cataract. But most pepple say they wish they had done it sooner. I am right behind you on this one if my eye doctor ever opens up. Wishing you the best and glad you have dogs home.

Sick chook Shirley? What a sweetie to take the chicken into your house and care for it. Chickens are such fun. I miss the sound of my neighbors - the one who drove 250 miles with 4 chickens, 3 dogs, a cat and tank of fish in her car. LOL on the dogs and wedding cake. Oh well.

My deck garden is doing beautifully. The sweet peas are stunning. I think OH not letting my upload pictures has to do with some Apple operating system update that DH did. Its been super windy here and hopefully blowing the covid away.

Thats about all here. Stay well. Diane S

Late post... Boo to cataracts! Yay to good dates! Yay to cuddly grandkids! Boo to chicken snakes! Yay to puppy zoomies! Definite boo to stress dreams!

My first bed is done. Clay soil is a ***** pardon my French. I couldn't even break up all the clumps I dug out that didn't go back with planting. Like rocks, but clay. Mulch covers a multitude of sins. It really highlights my need to get the stucco fixed from overzealous sprinklers, but I'm not even sure who does that... And the sprinklers need an update too. Projects just beget more projects.

The sages in the back will look like this when they grow in:

Nothing else exciting here. Our Covid numbers are pretty terrible right now after being so stellar early on. We're now the third worst (fitting as we're the third largest county in the state). Newsom has put us on the warning list. So we may move backward in openings. We've earned what we get.

Anyway, off to dig thorns out of my palm...

PS - eating wasn't awful. So that's a plus. And I skipped fast food when I wanted it both for dinner and lunch. Two wins over the Crap Food Monster.

PPS - Don't Share Your Air!
