The best peach I ever had, bought from a roadside stand in Sonoma. It was warm from the sun. So different than the rocks I buy here in the grocery store, bring home and wait for them to ripen.

Sonoma is under an hour away from me. That's why we are very spoiled here when it comes to stone fruit. I won't buy the stuff in the store except in June when even the big grocery stores get our local Brentwood Peaches. Ron and I are planning a little trip out to Brentwood this coming week to pick peaches. Peaches, like cherries, are so delicious fresh off the tree.

I missed the early plums this year, but there is still the late crop coming in mid June. Can't wait for those. I love stone fruit!
