Weight 122.2, after 6 days below 122 with 3 below 121. Arghh...especially since WW Bluepoints were only 12. Sigh.

I finished the first slipcover (of 5 plus 2 small throw pillows) for SIL. It was easier than I remembered from my previous slipcovering of those cushions (probably 15+ years ago). I have a lot of the pinning done (which takes longer than the actual sewing), so I think the project will go pretty fast.

Today is bright and sunny so I need to water my grass seed patches. It was supposed to rain yesterday but we didn't get anything. I am terrible a****ering things so who knows if I will ever get grass. Other than that, a long Justice walk seems to be called for possibly with a friend.

ETA: The pregnancy reveal has been scheduled for Wednesday at 6 EST via a family Zoom call. Finally!

Stay safe and healthy!

It's bright and sunny here also. The next two days should be steamy, with tomorrow predicted to be over 90. It rained last night with some big thunder and crackling lightning. I planted some more bedding plants yesterday, and I'm watching the wildflower seeds I planted sprout. Perfect conditions.

The concert we went to last night was glorious. Top notch band and vocalist. We had a great spot. It threatened rain, but held off until the last 2 songs. There was something extra dramatic about the vocalist singing My Way as the rain grew stronger.

I saved up a lot of points so I could have a piece of cake for dinner. I think that is an awesome feature of this program. Happily, it didn't trigger any cravings, and I'm back to Greek yogurt and fruit for breakfast.

Time to read the paper and then maybe a bit of housework. I've been busy outside after work, and the house shows it.

This time on WW was the first where I didn't feel I was on a diet so my cravings and binges were mostly nonexistent.

Lucky you to get go to a concert! We usually have 2-3 outdoor music venues a week here during the summer but it has all been cancelled. So sad. Maybe they will resurrect some with small music groups distanced from one another and us on the lawn doing the same? But it amazes me how many people say I am never going shopping, to a restaurant, to a music venue (even if outside) again. Sorry but I am getting to the "Shoot me now" point. If I could never do any of these things again, would life be worth it? Nope, LIFE IS SHORT!

Rant over...

I feel the same about all the news articles that start with, "X activity will never be the same again" (insert travel, restaurants, entertainment etc.). I highly doubt that. I think there are so many people itching for activities to get back to normal when the all-clear is sounded. I'm one of them.

I so agree. After 9-11, the world turned upside down. But eventually we went back to flying (remember your first time back on a plane?), and gathering in crowds. When there were several shootings at movies, we still went to the movies eventually. Details do change, we've got TSA, and no backpacks at concerts, and we look around for the exits at shopping centers and movie theaters just to be cautious, and we do lock down drills at school. But the essence of the activities stays the same. They'll probably be some modifications, more sterilizing, masks will probably be more common like they already have been for years in Asia, but life will resume.

Some of these places (airplanes, movie theaters come to mind) could do with a little more regular sanitizing, so it's a change for the better!

I agree. No matter what, there is risk, but not every activity carries the same level of risk. I'm not ready to eat in an indoor restaurant, but we do have reservations for patio seating next week to celebrate the last day of school. I'm not ready to go back into our church building, especially with singing. But for others, that is essential for them, so I understand. I NEED to see my son. We'll probably drive to Madison and have dinner with him at an outdoor venue or park. It's a 5 hour drive. We'll probably need to stay in a hotel before we drive home again. I'm going to do it. I'm getting my hair foiled and cut this month. I might consider going into DSW, because I need some walking shoes, and to get the right fit, I have to try them on. But never going out again isn't an option for me. Going right back to "normal" isn't an option for me either. But it will be some day.

Anxiety strikes.... lol.... last night I had a scratchy throat. My thoughts went immediately to Covid19 and that I have not been careful enough.... Um, dude, we're pretty certain you already had it... But my just in case thinking immediately went to doom and gloom. Never mind that I spent hours outside in the wind, dust and high pollen count! Throat is fine this morning, but I have my normal high allergy congestion and a bit of bronchial muck.

I absolutely doubt that things will never be the same. That's just ludicrous. Im guessing the biggest change we will see is in personal hygiene (e.g. hand washing) and respecting other people's personal space. It may be some time before I am comfortable going to the movies, but rest assured, I certainly will go to the movies and live theater again.

Very busy day yesterday. Lot of doggy stuff.... placing puppies, helping a friend with injections, and then cutting my dad's hair. Was occupied from 11am to 10pm. I slept well!

Food has been almost a non issue the past few days. I am really trying to focus on eating in a healthy way and thinking about whether my choices are helping my recovery or not. Yesterday included a blueberry strudel. It was delicious and eaten with enjoyment, free of guilt or shame. Weight was down 0.5 today. So, it looks like I am hanging out solidly below 270 again (at least by a hair). I would like to get slowly and surely down to the 260 - 263 range.

My county just updated its reopening plan yesterday. Hair salons may reopen under strict guidelines on June 17. Gyms get to reopen on July 1st. However, personal training is not allowed under the new rules of opening. WTF? Explain that logic to me, please. I truly don't understand.

Like Diane C. I had greek yogurt and fruit with a few chopped pecans for breakfast. Was quite tasty. Peaches are in season here, so I had a nice ripe peach with blueberries and raspberries with the yogurt, nuts and a bit of whipped cream to make it utterly decadent! YUM!

Today I am happy to live in my little bubble with my dogs, big trees, blue sky with puffy white clouds, and wondering what I will make for dinner. No room for uprisings, civil injustice and deep thinking today. I did a lot of that type of thinking yesterday. It was very good for me and I am more clear on my feelings about the civil rights issues facing our society.

Peace to all on this summer Sunday!

Ripe peaches- yum! We only get them for a very short time here in New England. The ones shipped in from elsewhere to the food store just aren't the same.
