Good Morning Lovelies
Hump Day here and cold again - Hello Winter......
Had a lovely visit with DSS & Family. Our grandbabies just complete me. DSS changed a wiring harness for me on his Dads Ute so good to have that done. I popped the lasagna in the oven then took Ashton for a walk. Gumboots and coat on and we went in search of puddles (with mummies permission of course) he had so much fun - I ended up nearly as wet as he did. Good memories - Dinner was nice as was dessert and plenty left over. Lovely snuggles with Elliot as I gave him his bottle and tucked him into bed. Read Stories to Ashton and tucked him into bed too. His Mum asked him what was the best part of his day - he said jumping in puddles with Nanna Shirley xx
I have brought home a ton of washing to do for my DIL - its constant so Im happy to help out. We did some planting last night before I left as we had given her some new pots for her indoor plants as part of her birthday present.
Today is just work then I have a pedicure and eyebrow wax so that will be lovely. Might call in and have a cuppa with my mum. DS left to go back to his Dads this morning so I have the house to myself. It will be nice
Im concerned about Ann too - hoping she is ok.......
Well I had best get back to work. Started at 6.30am as Im trying to make up hours from Fridays cow rescue time off.
Have a wonderful evening

I can't remember when I last checked it Had we already had Charlotte's birthday?
Pretty stressed over here. Everything going on in the world. And then just my little bubble. 2 of our friends have been laid off in oil industry this week. DSS moved downtown on Saturday just in time for protests. I'm now trying to limit my consumption of the news which may or may not be good, but seemed good for my mental health. But since I still consume social media, it's hard to tell the truth. Multiple-day protests in downtown OKC which ended with police firing tear gas into what seemed to me via social media postings to be a peaceful protest. So idk. But now the Mayor has instituted a curfew. I totally agree with what Peps said. Maybe I'd go one step further in feeling like how does something like Black LIves Matter get attention but by the same token recognizing that this violence does probably feed the polarization.
I pray for empathy.
Busy weekend. Charlotte's party followed by DSS moving into a new downtown apartment. Followed by meeting DSD's boyfriend on Sunday. First day of summer Mother's Day Out for the girls. Writing a question for the bar exam. Trying to prepare probate filings and get ready for court tomorrow. Stressed.
Anything new on Covid19? Seems like the news here has dropped it. We just entered phase 3. Still lots of masks but more and more things are opening and definitely large crowds some places, notably the hardware store.
I definitely like Weigh****chers best of all programs. I have not tried their new versions. The last time I tried it was just ahead of WLS. I think it was core or flex, a very primitive version of now, but getting on the same ideas. So I like that they are trying to encourage people to eat the healthier foods. And I do identify with (was it you DD?) who commented about "not feeling like the day is blown" if you can still eat zero point food. But, and again I have not tried it, I do not think the idea of a "free lunch" would be good for me. I saw my BIL and SIL do it, and successfully. But they definitely took advantage of free foods. To the fullest extent. I'm afraid that for me it would encourage me to eat past my sleeve's limits. And to overeat on healthy foods. Which sounds crazy but would totally be a thing I'd do. So for now I'm sticking with good ol' steps and calorie counting. But you all have definitely piqued my interest.
I was worried about that all you can eat free food thing. Turns out there's only so much chicken I want, and fruit fills my sleeve pretty quickly. Since the free food is pretty much fat free, except eggs, I do find I eat more frequently if I eat low points and mostly free foods. I use my points for fats to give meals more sticking power, like walnuts in my yogurt, or salad dressing on my veggies.
Honestly BB, you seem to be navigating "what to eat" very well. It seems you are true to yourself in finding a mix of restraint, healthy choices and some indulgences. You've done awesome maintaining your loss doing it your way.
