Weight 122.4, WW Bluepoints 10. I seem to be stuck at this weight but better here than above 123. DS made fantastic lobster salad yesterday. He and SIL had it in rolls with potato chips and I just had the salad. Summer on Cape Cod is here (sort of)!
All the potted deck plants are done, so the next project is finally finishing the slipcovers I started for SIL 2 years ago. She brought all the pillows and fabric here at my request because I knew I would work on them here. Having to go to her house to do it was a hurdle (similar to having to go to a gym).
SIL had less than positive news on Friday when she saw her oncologist. Her stage 4 lung cancer had essentially been in remission for a year, but now something has changed. They are going to give it a month because it us possibly just inflammation, but she will have all the full body CTs and MRIs in a month to determine if something needs to be done. If so, it will be a chemotherapy administered by pill. Apparently it hits the digestive system really hard especially causing hard to control diarrhea so she is obviously very apprehensive.
Hopefully on a better front, her son and his fiancé are now about 4 months pregnant. Hopefully all is well but they were waiting on a final test to announce to everyone. The results should have been back (or be back soon). It has been difficult not letting the information out.
Today we may do a socially distanced dinner with friends. And there will likely be a long Justice walk.
Stay safe and healthy!

Happy Monday Rainy Aussie Morning, Good Morning to you all. Back after a busy few days. Finished work Thursday at 2pm and drove DH to the airport so he could collect his hire car. We then both drove to the farm. He left to drive to QLD on Friday morning, I was very uncharacteristically teary - Perhaps due to the fact it would have been my sisters 49th birthday that day too. He got to Brisbane around lunchtime yesterday and is settled into his apartment. His other 3 workmates are already up there and staying at the same place. It will be good for him. Friday my SIL came over and brought coffee while I was working - we then had to go help at other BIL farm. One of his cows calved mid last week and has milk fever and paralysis - she had moved under the electric fence and was being zapped. Our nephews GF found her when she went to bottle feed the calf. We raced over to help. Fence off, bottom wire cut and managed to get her sitting up with hale bales to support her till BIL got home. Shes still not up - they have been putting her in slings to get her onto her feet. Im hoping things improve or little Sam may motherless :(
I mowed at the farm Saturday then pottered. Had good friends over for dinner Saturday night and they collected an outdoor table we didnt need anymore. Happy to see it being used and enjoyed. Sunday I cleaned up around the place and changed the bed linen etc etc before a quick cuppa with BIL and head home. I got home around 2.30pm and was unpacked and back out by 3pm to do my mums grocery shopping. DS came to help - we took it over and unpacked it all then home to do washing and make dinner. I was in bed early last night as I was tired but had a really good sleep.
Todays agenda is making a big batch of meat sauce as I will put together a lasagna tonight and bake it. Its DSS partners birthday on Friday - Im taking her favourite dishes over for dinner tommorrow night. Lasagna and a tray of Vanilla Slice. Just need to finish wrapping her gifts today. Have a very busy week.
I finally got to sit and watch the news last night - sat in tears watching the unrest that has come after Mr Floyds passing. I have read many posts and it just breaks my heart that it happened and what has followed. No other words .......... just shock
Love to you all and enjoy the rest of your Sunday

It seems like everything is just falling apart here in the US right now.

To sit and watch the footage of retail buildings on fire, and shops being looted - some of which I had been in. DH and I spent time at The Grove on our last day in the US - just shaking my head.... I understand that people want to be heard and for things to change but is this the way?
I feel for Mr Floyds family and I hope that justice will be done but my goodness - with so much anger and unrest
May he RIP
A Sunday morning Rainbow from our farm yesterday for you all x
Greetings Dear People
Yep times are tough here in the USA.I still don't think I would want to live anywhere else but NZ sounds pretty good. Love their PM. As to our leader - well-
Liz so sorry your SIL may be having issues again. She seemed to be doing so well. Hope there is treatment and that its not miserable. GL keeping that secret. Many years ago a bossy friend became pregnant and she insisted we not tell this one person for some goofy reason. The beans got spilled and it was very uncomfortable.
Shirley I want to eat at your restaurant!. Good for you for being so attentive to your family. That poor cow!! Hope she recovers.
All the protest confrontations are disheartening. Can't there be a way to do a protest march without ending up in fires? Seems like police tactics incite people. Or is it really these outside trouble makers that start stuff. Some serious investigation needs to be done on who is starting violence. We had a small protest march here in the main town. The police closed off a section of the 101 for awhile. Some car drove into the protesters. Not cool. It was pouring rain and I am surprised anyone went out but they did.
Yikes, my beautiful 10 foot tall climbing rose bush took a big hit in yesterdays rain storm. It is bent in half. I doubt the bush is killed but I may have to cut off a lot. It must have 300 blooms! It hid the ugly neighbor house for me.
We watched a movie last night "The Art of Racing in the Rain" I had read the book which was wonderful. They did an ok job with the movie but as always, the book was better. A tear jerker dog story.
One gallery reopens tomorrow. I have been living in the slow lane (aka parking lot) that I am not sure I will be able to speed up.
Take care all. Diane S
I have been avoiding movies and books that strike too close which right now includes tearjerkers, as well as stories about epidemics and violent protest. What's left? Romantic comedies I guess. Ostriching maybe or maybe just protecting my psyche right now?
