First of all, it's grapes that are toxic to dogs when eaten in great quantities. Unless a dog is "grape sensitive" it takes a great deal to make them sick. If they are sensitive, it takes very little. Sort of like being allergic to shrimp or strawberries. The leaves won't hurt the dog. Oh, should I add that we have Zinfandel grapes growing on our walkway fence in backyard in the dog area? You know I am very careful with my dogs and would never put them in harm's way.
