My body is still recovering from all that nothing I did for several weeks. I feel tired and stiff today. Unfortunately, I didn't get enough sleep last night, since thunder woke me at 3:00 am. It's raining hard and steady here. Temps will be cooler today and even cooler tomorrow morning (mid-high 30s), but we won't have any of that serious polar vortex stuff or even a frost some of y'all are dealing with up north and back east.

Yesterday was another massively productive day--got lots of things done at the house and during errands to town. Today will be just as busy.

I'm still infatuated with the Roomba. It feels so awesome to wake up to completely clean floors and carpets.

My neck continues to improve. I'm seeing real change/progress now. So encouraging! Today I'll get to put on makeup again for town errands. That makes me smile. I have missed so much getting dressed during the quarantine, and that'll be my happy thing today. I think it's also time for a little hip-hop dance party for one. :)

BTW, yesterday's happy thing was receiving a beautiful bouquet of spring flowers from my stepdaughter with the sweetest note. There's nothing quite like receiving flowers unexpectedly! It was so thoughtful of her. :)

Weight 122, WW Bluepoints 32. There was wine and snacks involved but it was planned.

I am glad some things are finally going better for you Ann. You sure had a tough stretch.

The weather in the northeast is going to be super cold this weekend and at first they were predicting snow in Massachusetts. I hope it warms up before we get there. The long-term forecast for the days following our arrival include showers almost every day. Yuck!

We are in our last 6 days here, starting to organize packing, and planning what to eat carefully so we don't have much to throw out. Luckily the trash goes out the day before we leave so we should only have a small bag to leave with our friends. I do have to ship a box home due to too much online shopping.

Tonight is the golf cart parade. We are decorating the cart with flags and bunting. Before that we might take a short trip to the beach as the weather may not be conducive next week and I want to go one more time.

Stay safe and healthy!

You ladies sure sound like you're doing better.

Ann-I agree about unexpected flowers! I have a neato and I loooove it. It may not be perfect but it is still great. With doggie hair plus kids, it's so nice to know I can just set and go. Until it picks up poop. That's bad.

Liz-can't wait to see pictures of your golf cart.

I haven't weighed in a couple days now. Thinking maybe I'll do Saturday morning. That used to be my weigh****chers weigh-in day. Something about having to go and weigh in made it so official. That's what I liked about meetings. It was kind of like having a deadline. Made me more serious every week.

Do you mind if I occasionally post my menu? It's interested to me how much more I can eat, 10 years out from VSG. I would say I can easily eat portions that a "normal" person could/should eat. I cannot eat a ton of meat. And the biggest difference is I cannot do splurge meals. No big Chinese takeouts, no Mexican food queso chips, plus the meal, no Thanksgiving dinner, no 10 course dinner. I guess it should make sense that I can eat more now because we don't want to starve and wilt away into nothing!

I didn't hit 10k steps yesterday. I was around 9k.

1200 is my goal, but I've been averaging 1300.

B: 1 egg, 2 whites, leftover peppers and onions from fajitas, 2 Tbsp. shredded cheddar, low carb tortilla, coffee with milk

L: Chicken cool wrap from chick fil a with fat free honey mustard (ate half at lunch and half mid-afternoon)

S: tall skinny cinnamon dolce latte

D: 1 piece lasagna, romaine salad with cucumbers, tomatoes, lite Italian dressing

S: lil drum (love these for 110 calories!)

1379 calories, 107g protein

That WW "deadline" is why I keep attending weekly meetings. Even though I weigh at home and attend remotely now it still works in keeping me accountable. I also post my daily meals on the RNY daily thread and have for most of the time since surgery except last year (the VSG one died out). I have met a few of the folks on it in person. JuniperBerry and her boyfriend Grim live near me and they had a cookout for all the OH folks in the area a few years ago.

Thank you, Bonnie!

BTW, I had to look up "neato" ... had no idea what that meant. :)

My friend's mom is "incredibly improving" today. So maybe the remedesivir is working? Fingers crossed she continues to get better.

Zoom knitting (with no knitting occurring) was nice. It's not the same as in person the way it cuts in and out on who is talking.

Fergie goes back to the eye doctor this afternoon. More fingers crossed he doesn't need either of those procedures. I hate to think of him in any pain.

I guess things are starting to open slowly here with curbside pick up allowed at sporting good and clothing stores and flower shops. Can't imagine that will be in high demand, but I guess that's the point. My hairdresser works out of her house (station in the garage) and she is going to put color on me Monday and send me home to wa**** out on my own. So we won't be around each other long, we can wear masks, and she's not hanging over me washing it out in the bowl or spending time cutting it (which I need, but can do without for now). Plus we've both been careful. That feels different than a busy salon with lots of people which will still be closed for what could be months. My city, which I haven't left, has had one to no new cases a day for about a week. Given we have 300,000 people, I feel pretty safe right now.

I think the heat wave is finally beginning to break up today. It should only be 85 and then down into the low 70s next week. At least it isn't humid too.

Off to get dressed and walk The Ferg. Take care everybody.

So there is some hopeful news in your area and for your friend's mom. I pray that remdesivir will work for her and others (and that further advances in treatment will be made soon).

Ceci ... good news on multiple fronts there for you. I'm glad you and your hairdresser figured out a way to get your color done. :)

I never would have asked (I wouldn't have wanted to put her in a position of having to say no or worse feeling like she had to say yes), but she texted today and offered. It feels like a fairly low level of risk given our lives and the set up. She does very little hair these days, so that feels safer too!
