Yesterday was the best day I've had since all of this began ! I had upbeat and reassuring phone calls with both DD AND Marco Polo video messages from both so I could SEE them. Youngest DD is so grateful for the flattening of the curve in NYC..the decrease in her stress level is substantial !! I also mowed and got in 12,556 steps AND ten minutes of deck lizarding late afternoon ! Still waiting for last week's Misfit Market and Green Chef boxes. We were able to but some beef, pork, and poultry at the market, but there were limits of one package of each. We purchased family size and I packaged portions to freeze when I got home, so we are set for a bit. Hope to work in the gardens around the house today.
Love you all !!

I'm so happy for you hearing positive things from your DDs. That is so important for them AND their Mom!
Weight 123.2, WW Bluepoints 8. Over my new max but only by .2. I want a little more leeway to bounce around so am still eating at a low.
Justice had his first ride on Elmo yesterday. At first he was doing the usual Chihuahua shaking but he pretty quickly settled down and enjoyed the ride and the breeze. A little like a minor Disney ride around the block. I need to figure out a pillow for my back though. In a car I usually have the drivers seat up as high as it will go and almost as far forward as possible. Since Elmo's seat isn't adjustable and is set up to accommodate a tall, bulky man, it is a bit too far away from the pedals for me. Once I figure out the right size pillow, I can cover it and put straps on it to attach it to the set back so it won't slip. Future project...
Today is walking and riding. I have a zoom set up with my 3 children at 12:30. That will be fun!
Stay safe, stay healthy, stay home!

Diane O.-I'm so happy to read such a positive report from you. I am glad that we have flattened the curve. I guess that leaves up to wonder what does "maintenance" entail. As we all know, weightloss requires one thing, and maintenance another. In some ways the freedom of maintenance can be more difficult to manage than the clearly defined lines of weightloss.
My friends set up a marco polo so that kids could record and see other kids without the craziness of zoom with toddlers. I haven't downloaded that yet.
Liz-how fun to have a new toy! I'd imagine that's perfect in your setting. And I love the name! Becca loves Elmo et al. But I have to admit that I'm the crochety neighbor in my own neighborhood who gripes at kids on golf carts. We do not live on a golf course and very young, unbelted kids were darting in and out of circle drives!! Eeek. But I do love them at my sister's lake house etc.
Cecily-whew 88. That does sound hot. I do love that Oklahoma has all the seasons but I always feel like we jump from "winter" to "summer" far too quickly. Last week we had some low-50s. Next weekend we're slotted for upper 80s. Why can't we just spend a few days in light sweater weather?! Doggies are hard to try and give any medicine. You have my empathy.
Diane S.-I think that's a good idea for businesses to be up front about how they plan to combat covid. More than even the virus, I think right now fear is killing the economy. And reopening restaurants doesn't solve that problem, at least not initially (and certainly won't if there's a spike). Businesses that recognize that and answer that question before it's asked will be in much better shape. No UPC here. I'm excited to look into some of the process, though. The courts aren't setting hearings until May 15, though. And I don't want to have to renotice people so I'm going to wait until at least then to see the status of things.
DD-I, too, am bad about my water. My trouble is coffee. I was never a good water drinker, then after WLS I have trouble eating with meals. And now when I have grabby baby I don't put glasses down near her and if I am going to have something in my hand, it's gonna be coffee lol. But I honestly think that drinking more water will make a huge difference in my health--I've been getting muscle cramps, headaches, tingly hands, etc. Why not at least start with water? I find drinking out of a Yeti helps because it stays ice cold and I don't have to refill often.
I saw David posted on FB. Hi! Missing Stephanie and Paula and MissBonnie
Oklahoma's governor is going to be on Fox New Sunday and I am interested to hear what he says. Full disclosure: I did NOT vote for him. And according to my facebook, no one did lol. Okc's mayor has decided to allow shelter in place to expire April 30. In his statement, he said this was very hard decision for him and he's uneasy with what might lie ahead but that he realized he'd never feel comfortable until there's a vaccine. I'm interested to see how businesses will adapt and how successful the American people will be at combating this virus in the open. I don't loathe people who are worried about their livelihoods. I have a strong compassion for them.
Yesterday I got out of the house and went to Sam's club. I needed formula and I couldn't take being in the house any more. I decided to shop a bit while I was there. I donned my facemask, had hand sanitizer. But oh my go**** SO improved my mood. I was literally beaming. It's weird. Buying food, being out and about, getting an hour without my kids. And I've also decided that I need to improve my immune system. I've been eating a bunch of crap from my freezer and I think more fruits and vegetables will help immensely. I will be channeling Ann.
Good morning! So nice to hear both your daughters are well, and that NYC daughter is seeing some relief in the onslaught of patients. Frankly good news for us all. A bright spot in all of this is having our daughter sheltering the storm in our home with us. We miss our son, but remember he was with us for 5 months while job hunting, and he needed to launch his professional life.
The day started cloudy, but the sun is shining now. Another blessing today. I'm reading the paper right now, but hope to be outside most of the afternoon.
Yesterday was pleasant, with a drive along the Mississippi river, with stops to wander on bluffs and scenic overlooks. Followed by a prepackaged cheese flight I got at Costco (if not to die for quality, still very, very good) and a special bottle of wine we brought back from Brazil 3 years ago. Well have to go back and pick out another :)
Tribe members who are busy handling life, stop in and give us a quick update, we miss you.

Love the bright update, DianeO!
Is anyone else losing a ton of hair? It's like I had VSG again without the stomach restriction! Argh. Stress maybe. Or my weight losses (now mostly gone) from earlier in the year.
My county made world new headlines with the pictures of all our covidiots crowding the beaches. I shall report if we have an uptick in cases in about 2 weeks. The anti-stay at homers are getting super nasty here. I think they are in the minority, but sometimes it's the minority with the loudest, angriest voices.
I am all for businesses that can prove they can operate safely opening up. We need that. But the personal attacks and vitriol are too much for me. Why are we so black and white these days, with one side spewing hate at the other and vice versa? And why can no one have a calm, rational discussion, listening to reason, and finding compromise where we can?
Vacuuming is on my agenda today. And dusting the plantation shutters. I miss my cleaning people!
Liz, so glad you're having fun with the golf cart!
BB, hooray for your alone time at Costco! Sounds like you protected yourself well.
DD, you had me at "cheese"...
DianeS, I got through all the Agatha Raisin books on audiobook downloads from the library. They have a good narrator.
Take care all!
Greetings Fellow Virus-evaders
Another dull day in lock down. I don't mind it as much as some. I like lazing about the house though I don't hesitate to go out if something is needed. Mask and wipes of course. The better stores here are organized with traffic patterns inside the store and such.
Diane M, so glad your daughter is de-stressing. A good sign. And glad to hear of your good day. Smart to buy and freeze some meat. I should do that with the local cod that is available on the docks right now but I so hate cleaning fish. Or any kind of cleaning for that matter.
Its sunny and bright here. I put the wet bath mats out on the deck since it would take a century to dry them in the dryer.
Liz maybe you could get an outdoor chair pad to fit in Elmo. Red of course.
DH tries to feed the dogs about every 20 minutes and then is disturbed if they don't want what he has made. Only humans react to confinement by overeating.
Hey Cecily I saw your beach on the news. What part do people not get? I do fear what will happen in two weeks. Even so, I am NOT going to drink Lysol. I am grateful for the luxury of living in an uncrowded place
The little snow peas are sprouting. They will be ready just in time for the lockdown end -if we are lucky.
Cheers all. Diane S
