Chiming in from the other side of the wall...
Thank you, Ann, for giving perspective to what I've been doing for the longest; that is, "taking days off due to an extreme lack of energy". I can't count how many times I've gotten in with the intention to post, only to type, read, and delete after just a few lines in.- Feel guilty, resolve to try again the next day, and repeat again. My sense of "social distancing" is truly way out of hand.
Looks like we may get a snowflake or two tonight! Crazy Kansas weather- Thursday we had the first of the garden Asparagus - DH grilled it- yum. Salad greens, snap peas, radishes and potatoes are planted.
I know thinking is not doing, but deep Spring cleaning may just be around the corner...need to begin with windows.....(I'll think about it some more-tomorrow). For today, it's just Swann walkies, laundry, and messing around with some paints- or ink-or
Wishing all the very best Easter that can be had this year. Won't be making the annual Easter Bunny cake (breaking a tradition going back to 1986)

Another day here in detention or so it feels. Yeah I need to go outside and walk around. No reason around here why I can't. Lucky for that.
DH has found a new show - Tales From the Loop. Another spooky weird show. I Don't much like it but keeps him amused.
So I found out some gossip about the virus here - seems some guy who worked in the dope industry is the single person responsible for all but one of the cases here. Word is he tested positive and knew it and went skiing in Canada and therefore was on airplanes. Infected plane people plus others. What a jerk. Criminal.
Our little hospital is doing Remdesivir trials. Three cases in the hospital. Not sure why its up here except our hospital is not slammed and there may be better control of virus sources because we are isolated.
Yep, the shrimp salad was cold. Just boiled cold shrimp, celery, mayo and lemon. Tonight is the giant enchiladas from Costco.
Love seeing the FB pictures of Diane's masks. So cool.
Wish I had more news. Take care all. Diane S
Hello Lovely Second Family
Its Easter Sunday over there so wishing you all a wonderful Easter from Australia xx Be daring and allow yourselves the indulgence of your favourite chocolate
We slept in and then had a nice late breakfast of hot cross buns with Mum. She loved them. Have been working around the house and garden - well I have only been pointing to where DH has to plant etc. I have now progressed to no crutches and am feeling better every day. One issue from Thursdays physio session was the discovery my quads have seized. OM Goodness - the pain as she pushed them to stretch them. I was finally able to get my heel off the bed after much trying - she asked me to return to working at my desk so my knee adjusts to sitting and continues to stretch. I went to do my heel exercises after work Thursday only to find I had obviously been sitting oddly - likely nursing the feeling of my knee being down etc - and put my lower back into spasms. UGGGGG. Its better than it was - been treating with hot packs and stretching.
I found that I was better standing so have been cooking - which is a love of mine. Ventured down to the garage fridge to discover we had so many sweet potatos. So made a yummy Thai Sweet Potato and Carrot Soup. Also made pull aparts with Greek Yoghurt and SR Flour - Bacon, spring onion and Cheese, Salami, Spring onion and cheese & Bacon and Cheese - my eldest DH popped over and collect a ton of them. I bagged them up with a Happy Easter Love Mum xxxx message. Im missing all our kids so much. We are doing a zoom catch up with all of them in about 20 mins. Im excited to see them all
Dinner is a pork roast, with apple sauce, roast vegetables and creamed silverbeet with almonds. Will be enough for leftovers tommorrow night then will pop some meals in the freezer - if I can find room. My mum is enjoying having meals made for her - she thinks she will be going home heavier than she came.
Weight 170.5 - its holding steady. I think as Im a bit more active
Im sorry I havent been around the past few days. Just wanted to get some things done around here whilst on Easter break. Mum and I unpacked the crystal cabinet glasses and washed them all. The crystal cabinet is now back together. Huge job. Everything got so dusty during kitchen pull out then I had to pack up so the house could be emptied for the new flooring. Its starting to look a lot more organised and that makes me happy. Yes Im only a little bit OCD
I will try and pop back after dinner is made to catch up on all your news as I have missed you all. Till then stay safe and sane
Love to you all xxxxxx
