That's one of the worst nights of sleep I can remember. As hubby used to say, I saw the clock turn over every hour. Just couldn't get comfortable. But at least I stayed in bed and got more rest than if I'd gotten up.

Yesterday I ate well--nutritiously and a lot. Last week I found a frozen Stouffer's Meat Lover's Lasagna from God knows when that was still good, and last night I had leftover lasagna with a salad of greens/diced apple/toasted walnuts/balsamic dressing and a glass of luscious red wine. Dessert was "blueberry cobbler" (Ceci's blueberry muffins nuked with some blueberries and sugar-free sweetener), and it was also lovely.

It's a little early in the day to think of anything of substance, so I'll just launch us off and go write my morning pages.

P.S. I'm really jonesing to walk where I can see people passing by in their cars, but tomorrow's weather looks better than today's for a social-distanced outing.

Weight 124.4, WW Bluepoints 18.

Good morning. I'm glad you are eating well. I was just thinking about your weight dropping so low. I think it may be because your body is working overtime to heal. I looked back at my log of calories vs weight. My very lowest weights were in the 1.5-2 months after my PS, though I was eating higher than normal calories most of those days. Just keep the protein up (I know you know that)!

We took a long walk along the Peace River in ***** Gorda yesterday, bringing my daily walking total to about 7.5 miles. It was a pretty walk but we were VERY warm by the time we were back to the car. Today we were going to take a ride but it is suppose to be cloudy and rainy today and cloudy tomorrow so that may be deferred to Tuesday.

Stay in, stay safe, stay healthy.

Liz, thanks for that information about your post-PS calorie intake. "Higher metabolism for healing after surgery" has also been one of my hypotheses about what's going on right now. I'll continue to track my daily macros and weight to see how those play out for me.

This conversation, by the way, is exactly why I bother with continuing to track. Science with a sample of one. Or in this case, two. :) Thanks again for contributing your data to the pool.

Agreed on post surgery metabolism spike. Wish we could bottle that. For me at least.

Bleak, bleak, bleak.

DH is on his way to hospital to talk with doctors regarding his sister's care and to see her. He's been given clearance (supposedly). We keep getting mixed messages but one thing seems pretty clear: the outlook isn't good. She likely won't make it out of hospital.

So now of course my inlaws want to come here from Florida. I don't blame them, especially my MIL, for wanting to see her daughter (if possible) but it also makes me worried given the current crisis.

leftover lasagna yesterday. Were going to smoke a brisket yesterday but with everything we put it off for a day.

Oh, BB ... I'm so sorry for your whole family. The events are bad, but the timing is just wretched.

Dearest Bonnie

I am so sorry for the loss of your SIL. What a terrible thing at an already terrible time. Wishing you some peace. Hug your family close. Diane

My SIL passed shortly before rich made it to hospital. My MIL is alone and hysterical. This is awful. So fast we can't process. And can't help feeling this shouldn't happen. She went into hospital one day after chemo. And died 10 days later.
