Weight: 133.8
Veggies/Fruits: 7
Macronutrients: Cals - 1,929, Carbs - 233, Fats - 69, Proteins - 115, Fiber - 47
WW Green Points: I have no idea!
Fitbit Recorded Sleep: Don't know (charged my Fitbit last night)
Exercise: 25" very gentle yoga and 10,309 steps

Last night, again, I couldn't fall asleep (facelift discomfort, too many screens and devices on, and I comfort-ate (heavy on the carbs). And darn it, this morning the scales were up. Has that ever happened to y'all?

LOL!

I realize it's not the end of the world, like a pandemic or anything like that.

And that's enough unhelpful sarcasm for a Saturday morning. Eventually I fell asleep in my recliner where I slept poorly and probably no more than 3 hours. Not a great way to start the day.

Today's plans ... more gentle yoga, meditation, journaling and writing, walking inside and outside, cleaning bathrooms, some laundry, reading, napping, cleaning out my car and sanitizing it for my next trip to town, and probably some phone calls with friends and colleagues.

Spring is coming on strong here now. Yesterday I saw my first snake in the grass, meaning the front yard. He (or she) was a little gray, wrinkly thing, but I couldn't identify it. In any case, it's time to start wearing boots every time I go outside, even on warm days. I noticed yesterday that Eastern redbud trees have begun to turn pink. They grow on the forest borders, and I have LOTS of forest borders. It's a beautiful time of year!

Now I need some more Vegetable Juice!

Weight 124.6, WW Bluepoints 24. Today is my 4 year surgiversary. I am below my personal WLS goal of 125, though I still would like to drop into the 120-123 range.

I was jus****ching CBS news and the doctor on the show was stressing the need to do a lot of walking/exercise. So I will be continuing with my frequent dog walking in addition to my brisk morning walk.

Not much more to say at this time of day. I was up too late last night playing a silly game with SIL and DD where DD put the phone on her head and it displayed a phrase we had to make her guess without saying the words.

Stay healthy!

Good reminder about the exercise. I have been somewhat sloth like since the shut in. I'm a gym rat, not a walker.... The most I've done is take a 2+ mile walk earlier in the week with Lucky and Dinah. My resistance training set should arrive today or tomorrow from Amazon. That will help with my incentive to exercise.

No weight yet

Bill Gates predicted a peak of coronavirus in late April. That's what we all want to know, right? I've seen conflicting reports on whether it'll go away during warmer weather.

DH's job is remote through Easter (for now).

Speaking of Easter, Shirl reminds me that it's coming. I don't feel in a very Easter-y mood. I feel like this is a perpetual Lent :( But it's Charlotte's first Easter so I'd better get on that and start looking for supplies. 2 weeks! I had hoped there would be Easter egg hunts in our future this year. A friend's Easter barbecue. My sister and nieces coming to stay. The beautiful Easter lillies filling the sanctuary. Ahhh. Well at least we can watch Church remotely and I'm sure mom and dad will come over, maybe a backyard easter egg hunt.

It is ironic how the shutdown of some things can mean more congregating/density in other places for some.

We had a big hail storm come out of nowhere, so no outside work

I'm currently brining a turkey right now to smoke tomorrow. Today I'd like to hit the pharmacy and hopefully get buns along with meds, so that I can grill hotdogs for lunch. Maybe steak on the grill for dinner.

I've thought about just giving up food too and just doing protein shakes twice a day. Now you know I'm losing it. I did this in the past (mostly prior to wls) and have an almost gag reflex to protein shakes of any variety now. But I was thinking "while I"m cooped up, wouldn't it be awesome to shed this weight?!"

But I really do need to start walking. Was it Liz who posted how important that is for our health?

Yes - doctors talking about Coronavirus were stressing the importance of walking. And my grandmother lived to 100. Her only form of exercise was long walks up until she was about 98.

We are walking just about everyday. Last evening we went to a county park I've never been to before. It has walking paths along a lake. We heard a beaver slapping it's tail on the water. Everywhere we've walked there has been water nearby and evidence of very busy beavers.

My heart is heavy today. My mom was admitted to the hospital last night. She had her first lung scan since she completed her radiation treatment. On her way home the radiologist called and said while doing the preliminary read, he found blood clots in her lung, and told her to drive to the nearest emergency room. My Dad walked in with her and was told he needed to wait in his car, or wait at home. My Mom said they were very compassionate when they told him, and suggested he go home, because she would most likely be admitted. Meanwhile, my brother is working on getting a stairlift installed. The last few nights they've slept in their recliners in the family room, because my mom said her back hurt too much to climb the full flight of stairs. So at least they got better rest last night. It's so frustrating not being able to go in their house or visit the hospital. They have an appointment to go over the full results of the scan on Tuesday. It's hard to feel optimistic that the radiation worked. But will try not borrow trouble. There is enough to deal with each day.

I read doctors are going to go ahead in NYC with giving plasma from people who have recovered from Covid to those who are sick. Not sure to what extent. Small groups of patients in other countries have had some promising results, but the sample sizes were small.

Not sure what we will do today. It is supposed to rain all day. If it is a drizzle, we will still walk. Wet snow tomorrow. Sigh. It might be time for me to be quiet and still. I have some books that need my attention.

This lifeboat is getting tossed around a bit, but still trying to sing.

My Mom is being released, my brother got a bed set up on main floor until the stairlift is installed. So on we go. For old people who are supposed to stay home, they've been way to busy with medical stuff.

I am surprised she is being released with clots in her lungs. That seems odd to me. When my friend had clots in her lungs she was in the hospital for 5 days. I wonder if the medicos are worried about keeping an elderly woman in the hospital during the COVID19 outbreak?

Adalyn will be here after her nap in a little bit. I hope it is a good nap. LOL. DD will stay per normal weekend routine.

I have been working on the sawmill. I went to the hardware store to get 2 bags of concrete mix. Alcohol gelled twice. Getting a post put in to pull the logs onto the mill without messing up the alignment of the mill. DS has told me about a big walnut tree that has blown down. I really want to get it. I am planning on using walnut for the flooring in the tiny house. Maybe the cabinets too. Just need to build a kiln in my spare time.

Spread one load of gravel to make a double loop in the driveway. Since we are living in the shop (shaking head in disbelief) I though it would be nice to park here too. The other load will be used in the tiny house build.

Covered everything up because it looks like rain.

David, your love affair with wood is fascinating to me. But it's not as weird as it might (or might not) be to others of our group, since one of my brother-in-laws is a master sawyer. He loves wood, too.

It's been drippy here since mid-morning.
