VSG Maintenance Group

So, not me it makes me chuckle and shake my head to think of such things in a bedroom!!!!!!
I won't even allow a TV in the bedroom. If Ron brings his iPad to bed to read I have an issue. I am a firm no screens in the bedroom type of guy when it is bedtime. And yes, I never read in bed before going to sleep either. Anyone who had the type of sleep issues I had as a young person develops sleep hygiene routines that are pretty rigid. Luckily, I sleep pretty damn well because of it.
I agree with everything you do (no TV or computers) except I do read. I read with a book light and have to read until I fall asleep. I have done that since I learned to read as a child (though I added the dark room and booklight as an adult).

Awww Thank you x I try and be positive mostly (getting harder n harder with everything thats going on!) and always put others first x Its how Im wired
My morning cuppas (there are always 2-3 before breakfast) are my bliss. I cant drink instant coffee since the VSG - weird but it now tastes metallic in my mouth so I gave it up. Twinnings English Breakfast Tea however - that is consumed by the cup full and I love it. I do enjoy a barista latte too when I can
Love the idea of the mini fridge and cuppa setup in your room, It would be like staying in a motel every night :) You could hunker down in winter and be hydrated to boot. Win Win in my books
Evenin' ladies and gent....
I am jealous of Ann's eggs and isopropyl alcohol! I want a face mask made from a bra. I saw that yesterday and I think it's absolutely fitting that a gay man to have such a mask. It's not Me Too-ish at all if a gay guy wears a bra mask, is it? I think it could be quite the fashion statement.
Did I mention my county has not had an exponential rise in COVID19 cases over the past week? We have gone from 54 to 85 in 7 days. That is so much better than some of the surrounding counties with more urban density.
Glad I made some people smile with my FB post about the Dog Food Diet.
What a day I've had today! I took a suitcase to school today and loaded it up with books to bring home for instruction. Also spent a good part of the day researching different ways to present material to the kiddos come April and then ways to embed all this into a template the district put together for us to use (even though they also want us using Google Classroom....sigh... double duty...). Spent another 2 hours in video collaboration on Google Meet with my teaching partner. I think between the two of us we will get it together and make it work.
I heard back from Harper Collins and because of the COVID 19 situation they modified their copyright rules through the end of June 2020 - Awfully good of them. I can now read Charlotte's Web on video without fear of penalty as long as I adhere to the guidelines.
I also found out today that I will not be going back to teaching at school until May 1st at the earliest. Six neighboring counties have all agreed to keep schools closed until that date. I have a laid back principal whose philosophy is that we will all work together and get it done. Sure, ups and downs along the way, but it will happen. My BFF's principal spent 2.5 hours in an online video presentation outlining all the expectations the teachers were to meet and put a deadline of THIS FRIDAY to have all lessons planned and presented and on her virtual "desk". (She is so lucky I am not on her staff. I think that's the nicest way to put it.)
My weight continues to ease down bit by bit - lower in the 264s today. So I'm down a full 10 pounds since my off the rails episode in late February early March. Yay me.
Ella had yet another 4.5 liters of fluid drained from her belly today. I also allowed them to aspirate her liver so we can figure out what type of cancer she has that is behaving like end stage liver disease and failure in the fluid department, but not in liver function. She got home today and once she had settled at a full meal.
I'm kind of pooped out from a busy day and still must go to the drive through pharmacy to pick up Ella's new meds.
Best to all....
