I stayed home again today, and I'm feeling better, but the sore throat comes and goes.
Minnesota now has 14 positive Covid 19, all still traceable to a international exposure. No community transmission yet, but, although the numbers are low, they have pretty much doubled everyday (not quite yesterday 9 to 14). So you can see how this gets out of hand. Our state government has declared a peacetime emergency. No gatherings over 250, being the biggest one. They are not closing schools yet, they had a lot of epidemiology to argue why it's not needed yet. But I suspect it will happen none the less. We are in the middle of high school state play offs, and I feel greatly for those students who are graduating, and found out today, they will never play together again. They can't even have a banquet. And this is why I'm glad we have some grown ups at the helm of our state government, to tell us, sorry, I know you want to, but it's not good for you. Remember how I wanted to keep going to theater? Well now I won't, even though I'm disappointed, I needed to hear that message.
I'm thinking about upping my calories to 1400 to 1500. I need to be 1,200 or lower to see any real weight loss, but in these times, perhaps stressing my body, even modestly, isn't the way to go.
