- Within Range: FINALLY !
- Blue SmartPoints: 19
- General Wellbeing: 8.5
- FSF: Employing Ann's lean into it and breathe into it approach ; reducing media exposure
- Yesterday's Insights: An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
I will put a prediction in our safe spot. Ceci, I am joining you and Ann in trying to limit my exposure to sensationalized media. Ann, I joined you at first time goal and my six week count down. The new diuretic is doing the trick. Peps, I was hoping Ella's cancer was the contained kind that could be operated on.

Congratulations, DianeO, on getting back to range! That's worth a huge cheer. :)
This morning for the third day in a row I'm at 135.6, my 100-pound weight-loss goal. I'm cheering for myself about that. :)
Tonight, I'll be attending what will be my last social event for some time. It's a "Beef and Bourbon" chef's dinner hosted by a poker club friend.
After that, other than my surgery next week (assuming I don't cancel it), I'll be relying on more solitary forms of entertainment.
That's about all I have to say this morning.

Weight 125.2, WW Bluepoints somewhere around 38 due to Fundraising Italian Dinner and Wine. SIL and I went out after the dinner and had drinks at our favorite tiki bar. We ended up chatting with a couple of guys who actually turned out to be pretty nice people.
Today we are going to the beach with a couple of friends.
Watching/reading the news is getting nerve wracking.
Try to stay sane with everything swirling around...

I will say it helps a bit, Diane!
Weight ?
I had my therapy appointment yesterday and I talked about how I was feeling about all of this. My fear boils down to the uncertainty about how all this will unfold. Not whether or not I personally come down with it.
We're getting lots of very nice rain here in Southern California. The atmospheric river is sitting over us giving us a chance for rain nearly every day for the next 10 days. The plants are sure loving it. My yard hasn't looked this good in a long time. Everything is bright green and freshly new with orange blossoms scenting the air. There is a squirrel that lives in one of my trees next to the fence with my neighbor. The squirrel chirps at the neighbor dog and dances on the wall to upset him. And upset him he does, with his barking and running back and forth until my neighbor forces him inside. Ferg is unbothered by any of this and is laying on the wet ground during this break in the rain watching and listening to all the goings on.
I have no plans until a hair appointment Wednesday. Seems for the best! Knitting, Netflix, reading and walking Ferg are all I have to do.

Greetings All
Congrats to all of you who are in your desired range. Way to go. Sadly I have "found" a few pounds and am not feeling motivated to do anything about it.
Virus stuff is starting to impact our area even though there are no known cases in the county. Some arts events are canceled, colleges switching to remote classrooms etc. Not sure about the public schools but their dances and such are canceled. Hoping the health club stays open so I can submerge myself in chlorinated water once in awhile.
I am reminded of the Christmas song "up on the rooftop clip clip clip" with our roofers. Except it sounds like Santa is driving a herd of buffalo. Buffalo - Shel. I will think of it as Shel dancing on my roof.
Anyway, roof should be done today and so far so good. I really want to get out of the house since I have had to stay close to monitor the roofers. Good thing I was here yesterday because there was some confusion about the sky lites that are being replaced.
Tomorrow is the homeless outreach. I will be getting bananas to take. There is major public health concern about spread of virus among homeless because of lack of access to hand washing. One guy there "polices" hand washing before people eat - even before this virus. A good thing.
Get well DD.
Thinking of you Peps.

Good Morning All, thank goodness its the weekend. Had a true Friday 13th with phone issues at work that also effected some of our clients. Both Engineers where out of the office so that left me trying to juggle like a clown. That coupled with all our furniture being on the front deck and a big rain storm left me feeling very overwhelmed and my anxiety was through the roof. Not usual for me but it happened. DH left work earlier and both my sons helped move it all into the living room just as it hit. Im thankful. So we have stuff stacked in both living areas, no skirting boards on but the living areas & kitchen are complete. 2 bedrooms are empty ready for him to start on- ours needs to be emptied. Im hoping we can get ours done today and the skirts back on so we can get this house back in order before I go in at 6.30 Tuesday. Madness! It seemed like a good idea at the time. Really need it finished by the time I come home as I dont want to be navigating the piles on crutches. Next few days are going to be a lot of work
Going to Dinner for DSD partners 30th birthday. It will be nice to see them. Apart from that it will be all house stuff.
Ann - just caught up- you fell :( Please take care x
Diane O- a huge congrats on making it back within your range. Well done x You have worked so hard

Yesterday I did a little stress or comfort eating after school. Weight went up about a half pound this morning. No biggie, but I did find it interesting the delayed reaction to my eating. Of course, I wasn't hungry. I wasn't anything but antsy and uptight. I didn't even enjoy eating the sweets, but I did it anyway. My turn off switch was very difficult to locate. The silver lining to this episode was that I was aware of what I was doing and it was not what I would call anywhere close to what it could have been. As a matter of fact, I didn't even have the "I ate too much sugar" yeasty build up in my mouth that can happen with too much sugar (Oh, God I hope you all understand what I mean by that! Otherwise, color me embarrassed! That would mean only I here have eaten sugar in such abundance that yeast growth is promoted.)
Looks like I will be on an extended leave of absence beginning Monday. The school board is meeting as I type to make decisions about school closures. The largest school district in our area, which we directly neighbor, announced a 21 day closure this morning. I'm sending home a week's worth of math and reading and social studies work. Luckily, I was ready for this possibility and had already prepared work for the kids. I'm not required to, but I feel better sending them off with something of value.
I'm reaching the angry stage about Ella. I'm practical, but I'm so angry that she is sick, but NOT sick. She's happy, eating, running, etc.... There is nothing that can be done to cure her, but she is not really feeling ill, so I can't euthanize her. I've scheduled a tentative draining for Sunday. Then we'll add a diuretic to her regimen to see if we can slow down the abdominal swelling.
Puppies are growing like weeds and are healthy. Little Lime Green Girl's eyes started to open yesterday. Surprising since they were preemies. I just assumed they'd be reaching stages a little later than normal, not earlier.
My life in a nutshell....
