Weight 125.8, WW Bluepoints 43 (yikes). That is the result of a full meal at lunch, crab cakes for dinner and several glasses of wine. No biggie.

Thank you for listening. Though I am glad that I am allowing some more intimate memories of DH to enter into my consciousness, I find that I can both enjoy them and be terribly saddened by them at the same time. I will be going to a bereavement group when I go back home.

It is cold again this morning (50). It has been a weird winter where we have alternating periods of very hot, then very cold weather. Usually it warms up more gradually. Last night was the coldest for this week though so at least the colder periods are getting shorter.

I might go to an art festival in Venice (30 minutes away). That could be distracting...

Enjoy your Saturday!

I forgot to mention that I received this from my daughter yesterday. Maybe it partially set me off?

  2. Blue SmartPoints: 26 (more wine)
  3. General Wellbeing: 9.5
  4. FSF: Walking A & S ; watching snow that doesn't need to be shoveled
  5. Yesterday's Insights: Grateful for Youtube !! Knowing what keeps my head in the game and doing what keeps my head in the game are two separate and distinct things. Bridging the knowledge and the action needs to be my superpower !!!

We have enough new snow to cover the ground but the temperature will be in the 60's tomorrow and Monday, so it's a win-win !! Looking for win-wins definitely increases the likelihood of finding them !! Do something you LOVE for an hour today, to balance the loss of an hour tonight.

Good advice, I will think about doing something I love, that I haven't done for awhile.

Good morning! Drinking my chai latte, watching a local news show, tucked under my covers. No specific plans today. Lots of odds and ends to take care of, and need to spend an hour doing something I love, per Diane's suggestion. Maybe sitting on a deck chair in the sun, watching/listening to the snow melt! Tomorrow evening, we have tickets at the Guthrie Theater.

Well, I was right ... my body WAS fighting off Something last week. And now that Something is winning. This morning I'm tired and a little achy (malaise, they call it) with an attractive post nasal drip. Not even close to horrible, but definitely not well.

For multiple reasons I didn't get fully to sleep until almost 1:00 am. This morning I took a 2-hour nap and have since taken a long soak in the tub to warm up. Although I'm cold I don't have fever; in fact, my temp this morning when I woke up was was 95.1. And my just-woke-up heart rate was my usual 50. Boy, I sure didn't have that kind of waking-up heart rate when I weighed almost 100 pounds more than I do now.

I know what my day is going to look like -- chicken broth.

The only thing I really need to do today is wash dishes, which I didn't do yesterday OR the day before. That will actually make me feel better. :) EDIT: Dishes have been washed. :)

Silver lining to being sick: I don't mind losing one hour tonight when we spring forward.

Ever your Pollyanna,

Ann
