Lost only 0.2 this morning at WW, which a member at the meeting referred to as "woo woo" by the way, which I thought was funny. In other developments, I was told by the leader to "Use your filters!" when I referred to someone's husband (who was not at the meeting, but lost 11 pounds his first week on WW) as "one of those penis people who lose weight incredibly fast." Now I know WHICH filters to use. In fact, later when she asked what we might say to someone who says to us, "Hey, you're not supposed to be eating that, are you?" I used my filters and did not suggest we say, "That's none of your f**king business!"
Yoga class this morning was really special. Part of it turned into a great workshop the teacher led on some standing poses. I wish I could tell Shel all about it. She'd really enjoy that.
DianeO, please remind me what your "FSF" stands for. I know "Fun" is part of it. And watergate is almost over, which must be such a relief. Good on you for weathering that event so well.
Liz, I've been dying to ask ... is your friend someone who might become more than a friend? Or should I just use my filters?
Devon, I'm so glad you're taking care of yourself. Self care is so hard to do when our roles in life are all about taking care of others. It requires courage to know when to say, "No, I'm the one who needs taking care of right now."
And Shirl ... do you think you could imagine NOT trying to run three farms, remodel a small village, and feed 300 people in one weekend? I so hope you will be able follow your surgeon's recovery orders after your knee operation. BTW, our surgeries (your knee, my neck) are happening the same day, March 17th, although yours will happen the day before mine because International Date Line.
I think that's it for now. Love to all!

"Curiosity is a wild beast." I LIKE that! Very much. 'Cause it is. :)

I am laughing at your lack of filters! I don't know with the friend. He has been only a friend for most of the time I have known him though we did date for a while in our early 20's. He is a good looking and attentive man but he has also had 3 strikeouts (divorces). One long term marriage with kids and two fairly short ones. I don't know if he is just falls easily or there is more to it. He is very close to his kids so I give him high points for that. But for now, just friends.

Thank you, Liz. My curiosity is satisfied. :)
And of course, "That's none your f**king business" is always a correct response to my unfiltered questions.

OMG Ann - you crack me up. I love reading your posts and please oh please dont use filters anytime soon. Where is the fun in that I say. You are perfect just the way you are xxxx
Have I missed something? I know I havent been around much - Neck surgery?? Is everything ok?
Im just back from Pre-admission appointment. All boxes ticked. I am number 1 on the list so will be on the table at 8am sharp. No GA - it will be a spinal with sedation. As long as they keep me under I dont care what they give me. ****s getting real (allowing myself no filter either)
Oh and I weighed after my shower and 2 big cups of tea - was 171.82 - not deserved given what I have stuffed in my face over the past week or so but likely that due to the crazy headless chook running around I have done
Finally I am going to imagine and indeed put into play DOING NOTHING...... I think my system will definately have quite a few WTF moments but it will adjust. Once I walk into that hospital my head space is going to change to me, myself and I - as I move to focus on healing and getting my mobility back. Everyone else will have to take a back seat for a bit. Its going to be totally weird. Netflix and I will be on first name terms no doubt.
Shirl, no worries ... my neck is functioning fine. I'm just having a "neck lift" (they also call it a "lower face lift") to get rid of my drooping neck skin and jowls after losing 100 pounds rather late in life and the result of just being 74 years old. It's my goal to get my jawline back. Not doing anything else.
I'm a little nervous. But I'm more excited about looking a little younger in about a month after the swelling and bruising departs.
Your recovery will be a lot more serious than mine. And good on ya for your great "It's my time!" attitude. I hope you and Netflix will be very happy together. :)
Good luck to us both!

Leaving for downtown in a few minutes, so just have time to post this: there were left over home-baked treats this morning, and per my agreement with myself when I allowed some yesterday, I did not eat any today! I did not even stop at the treat table and look at them. I am ridiculously pleased with this accomplishment. That is all.
