  4. FSF: Visiting with my mom before DC's cardio appointment.
  5. Yesterday's Insights: Traveling without snow or rain is sooo much better ! Grateful for the low potential of tornadoes in this region.

Diane S., do we have to hunt down your purple house and check on you ? Your absence is so unusual and you are missed !

WW weigh in is today. I was 1.4 over lifetime au natural this AM, so 1-2 more weeks until I can start my six weeks of maintaining prior to receiving Lifetime. Even though I've done WW many times before, I never made it to Lifetime. My new doctor increased my diuretic from 25 mg to 50 mg daily to continue to manage fluid retention and minimize the dramatic changes. Manicure today, and I have to empty the can cupboard today so DC can add some dowels between bottom and middle shelves to better support weight.

Weight 125.6, WW bluepoints 31. Last high point day for a while because my friend flew home this morning. We had a good visit, but as mentioned it seemed a bit too long. Yesterday was fun though. We spent all afternoon at the beach, having wine as the sun went down, then eating at a restaurant on the beach. I have not slept well and was up before 5 this morning so I am hoping for some sound sleep tonight.

Today is my weekly WW weigh-in and I think I will be down again. I am in my lifetime range and only have to weigh once a month. However I am going to continue weekly at least until I am in what I think my comfortable, clothes fitting range should be of 120-123.

SIL's doctor visit was excellent yesterday. All the inflammation caused by the immunotherapy has subsided, but the cancer is staying at its shrunken size. So no treatment necessary and she gets another 3 months before she has to go again. Yeah! I guess her bloodwork was all good - she must have an amazing liver because I would think 4-6 strong drinks of alcohol would strain it but apparently not. After she returns Sunday, I do need to make it clear that it would be best that she stick with her 4/30 return as I do want a couple of weeks here alone.

I hope Diane is okay!!!

I have been told I have a "man cold" by my teaching partner. ACK.... cut me to the quick.... such an insult! I have always prided myself on being able to power through colds, allergies, minor aches and pains... But I kid you not, this one has me on my azz!

Anyway, I did spike a little fever last night, but it seems to have departed rather quickly. Was gone by this morning. I did wake up sweating during the night. I'm guessing it was a quick lived fever and maybe that was this cold's swan song and now I am on the road to feeling better. I'm going with it.

Last night once the fever hit, it dawned on me that I was in Seattle last week. I went through SEA/TAC twice in one day. That's where the corona virus first appeared here in the USA. Of course, I allowed my mind to wander... Now that I have a fever, I've been to Seattle, OMG! It must be COVID19! LOL! Now, that's a man cold thought process right there. But that thinking I kept to myself - shared only here for your amusement.

Weight was back down that 1.3 pounds today. Perhaps that means my body is finding a balance. My cravings for sugar are waning significantly, too. Another plus.

Miss reading Diane S. Where are you, woman?

Am I a lazy ass, since, if I had your symptoms I'd get tested for coronavirus so I could be quarantined? Just not during spring break.

Doc didn't want to test, but I had not had a fever either. But, in any event, I am feeling much better today.

Greetings All

Thanks for your concern. Sorry to be AWOL. I have been checking in but not getting around to posting. Also not getting around to doing a whole lot of things. Over the past week I have had a few "spells" where I feel super tired and sort of short of breath. Had gallery duty and couldn't find a sub so I had my husband drive me there and back. And I closed up an hour early. Have calls into doctor for apt but its hard to get in. Good news is that I feel fine today.

Liz so glad you have a friend from way back. It really is fun to remember the old days. I got to do some of that at my brother's funeral and it was so wonderful. I tend to be a hermit and should reach out more to my old crowd. Glad you are able to do so. And glad SIL had a good medical report. Seems like thats much of what us old people talk about.

Whoa, TP shortages!!! There is no hand sanitizer to be found except for a few small purse sized items which I bought. I did find Clorox wipes for galleries. I may have mentioned we had a confirmed case in our county but the person has done well and made it through the quarantine. But we are an international tourist destination so we shall see. I think our government response on the federal level is pathetic. Glad I have no travel planned.

Peps I think you should stay home. If you have the virus you would not want to be "Typhoid Marvin" for your school. When are they gonna get test kits out. They do it drive through in South Korea.

I am still munching popcorn these days. Its an effort to cut back on wine and seems to work. I eat popcorn, feel full and don't want wine. Win Win.

Ann I so remember the big snow storm days in the midwest. One gets predicted and everyone goes to the grocery like its Armageddon. Junk food seems to be a necessity to survive a snow storm.

I have found a support group for families of hoarders. My DH sort of is a hoarder. So I will see if I can go. You have to be "screened" - not sure why but whatever.

Lots to do - banking, choose shingle color for new roof, sign studio tax returns, copy and file gallery tax returns. Who knew I would become a secretary in my retirement.

Picked up some of the organic canadian bacon and baby broccoli to cook tonight. Easy dinner. Last night I was too tired to cook and DH made mac and cheese. Seemed to take him hours. But it was warm and good and I am grateful.

Shirley we are thinking of you on the knee thing. Don't be tempted to try doing what you should not do. You deserve a break! Tee Hee.

And Peps hug those pups. Puppy breath is curative.

So glad to hear your voice, DianeO.

I would love to find some baby broccoli (didn't know there was such a thing, but I bet it's more tender and less bitter than adult broccoli).

I agree with your characterization re the federal coronavirus response.

You take care of yourself and make that doctor see you faster.

Yep, they call it broccolini or something like that. It is tender and less bitter. And I think less stinky. Of course costs twice as much. go figure. Diane S

Good Morning

Quick pop in as Im off early to pre-admission appointment with Nurse and Physiotherapist.

No weight - hmmm

Good News is all the small furniture from both living areas is stacked in DS room and I have boxed up all the cabinets. The crystal cabinet took ages. Went with DS after work and got all the chook supplies - we are stocked up. We then did a run to the op shop (thrift) and dropped off a couple of bags plus an armful of platters. We had so many and never use them. More purging needed. I was able to sit and relax after dinner last night. Lay in bed and watched a movie which was lovely

Heading to the farm tonight. We have had a huge amount of rain. There is flooding so crossing fingers that all is ok up there. Should arrive around midnight. It will fence repair early for DH and big clean of shed and house for me. Sunday we catching up with some of DH friends and their wives for lunch. Im looking forward to that. Sunday night or early Monday morning, we head back to city house as all the furniture needs to be lifted out in preparation for flooring Tuesday. I have asked both my sons to help DH as I cant lift heavy things anymore with my knee.

Diane O - You are getting so close :) Hope the duretic increase is the extra push to drop that last bit. You work so hard

Liz - Glad you had a nice visit with your friend. Good news re SIL. And yes you should push for some time on your own if thats what you want. You know yourself better than anyone and what you need xxxx Be kind to yourself. I think you are doing amazing

Peps - Sounds like your bug is very firmly entrenched. Lots of rest for you and let DH take care of you. Maybe he can do night time puppy duty so you can sleep?

Diane S - Not good to read you havent been feeling well :( HUGS When is the apt with your PCP?

Hello to all that follow. I best get moving before time runs away on me
