Bouncy-bouncy. Scale was up one pound yesterday (on WW day, of course) and down again a pound today. Once again I'm less than a pound from my original 100-pound weight loss--both at home (135.6) and at WW (137.5).
I'm thinking of each of you this morning and the challenges and joys and inevitable because-it's-life start-anews you're navigating. What an interesting world this is that we can think with affection each morning about friends we've not yet met. Courage!
Today is housework, starting a new book, writing, some phone calls, paying bills, and baking some more muffins. Tonight is hip-hop class and my weekly drink at the pub.
I'm getting a little nervous about my upcoming neck lift surgery. In fact, I think I'll put "Neck Lift" in my Worry Box (something I started last fall into which I put little slips of paper with things written on them that I should stop worrying about because worrying provokes only anxiety and adds no value to anyone).
And let us not forget that today is T.G.I.F. Not my era, but funny!
P.S. Edited to correct yesterday's macros and to add SmartPoints.

Weight 127.4, WW blue points 39. The last time I saw this weight was a year ago. In fact I was 127.2 on February 21 last year. I will probably do a bounce back up tomorrow but I'll enjoy the thought of it today.
Exactly how are they doing your neck Ann? My neck and jowls were "shrunk" via a lower face lift. I had it done at the same time as a TT, and I have to admit that my face bothered me more than my stomach for the first few days. I think that was because of the early extreme swelling and a wicked headache. When I had a brow lift and eyelids done it was much less uncomfortable.
Last night we went out to dinner and a place that had music and dancing. The bartender gave me his phone number. LOL! He was 45: younger than my oldest children. Good looking but I would have guessed 50. Never married, so he probably preys on older ladies. I am still wearing my wedding rings too. I didn't take the napkin home.
Today will be cool and cloudy (mid 60's), so I will probably do some overdue cleaning and maybe start the slip overs for the final chair I want to cover (I did the 4 dining chairs last spring). I am getting some things done: Car is being repaired, the tiles which sounded hollow were fixed yesterday, and a new garbage disposal arrives today (I have arranged for my fix-it guy to install it this weekend).
I hope you all have a good day!

LOL! Good on you for the dude's phone number, even if you left it there.
And congrats on your 127 number. I know how awesome that feels. I'll get to my number eventually.
And re my necklift -- that's exactly what they're calling my surgery ... a "lower face lift." Shocked me when they used that term, but that's the deal.

I don't do well with prescription painkillers so that might have been why I had the headache. With the brow/eye lift I was far enough away from my VSG that I took ibuprofen for a couple of days and it worked great (though you can't the first day or two because of possible bleeding).

Liz, thanks for these observations and insights. I'll see what the surgeon will let me do for pain post-surgery.
BTW, he is quite conversant with the hospital's bariatric practice and has spoken to the program's support group for WLS patients before and, presumably, operated on some of them, although that's only my assumption.

I forgot to mention: I booked a 3 day trip to Myrtle Beach for DH and my anniversary at the end of August. I wanted to go somewhere alone that I hadn't been to before and was easy to get to. It is essentially fully paid for by various airline and hotel points.

Bad night's sleep last night! Ferg was panting a lot Waking me repeatedly and I was finally wide awake at 3:40 and couldn't go back. I watched 2 movies and did 2 loads of laundry while I waited for my eating window to open so I could have my coffee (apparently, black coffee is okay while fasting, but yuck). Now I'm exhausted. A nap is in my future.
Not much on the agenda today. I have a book club book to read, but no other requirements for the day. Maybe a walk without the dog would be good to wake me up. More laundry. Dog walks. Lather, rinse, repeat.
Ceci, I hear you on the can't-sleep laundry nights. That's exactly what I do. Requires relatively little effort on my part, but gets something necessary DONE!
Take it easy. That costs zero points. I also hope Ferg can settle down--for his sake and yours.

Hi all,
Not much to post after 2 relatively in depth posts yesterday. I got dressed forgetting to weigh myself. I undressed, hopped on the scale and was rewarded with a good drop. I'm down 3 pounds from Tuesday morning. That's way better than a poke in the eye. It' also puts me in the 260s which is far more palatable for me.
I felt my being lighten up after therapy session yesterday. Woke up feeling lighter in several ways, too.
Liz, had not thought about first anniversary. Birthdays, holidays, family events, yes.... anniversary, no. Sobering to say the least. I want to say "sorry" just because. It's not easy, is it? Hugs....
Newest topic of interest- transfer addiction and how to guide it.... oh goody, such fun ahead! LOL! I have to work on how to direct the transfer. Wish me luck.
My Pop is being released from the hospital this afternoon. His lumbar surgery went well and the results are expected to be positive. Hope to Heaven above that that is the case. He's been in such pain for several months. It breaks my heart to see him like that!
Rock on, peeps!
TGIF indeed. In a few minutes we are leaving to go see the movie Assistant. I believe it's loosely based on the Harvey Weinstein debacle. Hope it's not too painful to watch. Most of my Me too moments are in the past, but it still rears it's ugly head once in awhile. A few years ago we were touring the new Vikings stadium at an open house for the community. I was sitting in a seat, posing for a picture, when a drunk guy suddenly lunged out of the aisle, stuck his hand in my shirt and pulled it down, and said, you need to show some cleavage. Ugh. Took me awhile to forget the nauseating feeling of his fingers between my breasts. My husband went after him, but he disappeared into the crowd, probably for the best, because what would have happened if my husband caught him? Still couldn't believe at this age, this $! could happen. But I digress....
After the movie, we might check out a new wine bar that has live music. I'm trying to decide if I can wear my new boots, one is it too slushy today (they're suede) two how much walking is involved, because, New boots, right? Might rub parts of my tender feet. Leaning towards yes so I look like a cool middle aged lady at the wine bar. I'll try to channel Liz level cool so people will secretly want to give me their number on a napkin, but of course refrain, since it is Minnesota after all. As I leave, they will sigh and think, those were some awesome boots.
