Weight 129.6, WW blue points 15. My immediate goal this week is to stay under 130 every day. I'd love to lose a pound a wee****il I drop under 125, closer to 120 but I'm trying not to be over-anxious. I still benefit from feeling under control regardless of how slowly I am losing. I am still planning on going to weekly WW meetings for now. I wonder if I should weigh in each time I go even though I'm back in lifetime range?

Don't know what today will bring. I need to glue the table together that I painted yesterday (need to get new strong glue as the stuff I had dried up even though unopened since I bought it 18 months ago).

I SO wish SIL would venture some opinion about doing something at least once. I made all the decisions for so long for DH and I that I would really like to have someone else suggest something. We are going kayaking tomorrow because another friend asked if we wanted to go. SIL changes after walking when I change. She always goes to the pool if I go but never otherwise. If I suggest a beach trip or something else she always says yes but never suggests anything herself. We go out to dinner if I bring it up but never does on her own. She never has an idea on what to make for dinner unless I tell her it's her job. She almost never even goes to the store unless I do except for her vodka. Sigh...

Have a restful Sunday!

Good morning! Liz You are an advertisement for WW, it works! It's so puzzling to me how your sil can cede all of her days activities to someone else. I have so many thoughts about what I like, and also, that I want solitude from time to time... What does she do when you're working on your projects?

How fun to wake up and know that Sunday is more than Sunday, because I also have tomorrow off. Luxurious.

I need to find the right casual shoes for NYC. I pretty much just wear ankle boots and tall boots and when it's warm enough transition to sandals. I have a few kitten heeled pumps for dressing up. I loved, loved, my stiletto pumps and sandals back in the day, but sadly, they are a no go. One day I was trying some on, and showing my daughter, and I got a huge calf cramp. As I was leaning over, moaning and clutching at my calf, my daughter said, that's not really a good look on you Mom. Ha! I have a couple pairs of athletic shoes... I'm not sure exactly what it is I want, but something a little less bulky than my Filas and New Balance shoes, and not as heavy as boots. So long story to say I'm probably going shopping today.

But first, more chai tea, and the newspaper. Happy Sunday.

Sketchers makes a lot of lightweight comfortable shoes. I also have Rothy flats for something a little dressier but walkable and Allbirds sneakers that I LOVE! Both Rothys and Allbirds are online only but arrive quickly.

SIL does a LOT of reading and looking at her IPad. We laugh about how her older brother is a hermit and doesn't do much. But the difference may just be that she says yes if something is suggested.

Oh, I just remembered a conversation about the weight loss wars we all fight. Last night we had dinner at a friend's house. My friend had always been a person of normal weight until menopause. She gained about 40 pounds in 4 years, and tried so hard to lose weight. She recently started some medical weight loss program with snacks and shakes and one meal that she prepares. (Not medifast, but something like it.) She's having success, but she says it's cheating. Because she's not having to make choices surrounding real food. Why are we all so hard on ourselves about food? She's summoning huge discipline to resist snacking, etc. Wherever we are all at in the food war, we should give ourselves a little grace that we keep showing up for the battles.

I think that's why WW works better than most plans - it causes you to make choices around "real food" all along the way.

Good morning, happy Sunday (Sunday/not Sunday for me, too, DD), and happy day after my b'day to me! LOL!

I really did have a great day yesterday. Working out, getting my thoughts out here, a lovely nap, lots of puppy play time and a great family dinner out all contributed to a change in mood. I know that getting those thoughts out of my head and into the open can be a game changer for me. (It is a wonder that I seem to have to relearn this lesson so frequently.) The post yesterday was essentially part of my b'day gift to me. It really did help! I also make my b'day all about me. It is the one day a year I feel no guilt about do exactly what I want, saying what I need, etc... Birthdays are an impish pleasure in which I delight. I'm sure my impish self indulgence also contributed to the whimsy of my day. (Could be, too, that two sessions of carnal pleasure didn't hurt any either! Yeah, TMI, but what the hell!)

Writing out a lot of what I was feeling helped enough that I am thinking that I am once again able to get my WW Blue going again. I think I will also look at the Green plan and see if it is a little more of what I might need right now. Not sure, but worth checking.

My weight today is the highest it has been post WLS, but that's okay. Could be just a tiny blip up given the food party of the past three to four days and from the workout yesterday. I am most definitely sore from Olympic squats and the Booty Builder!

The last puppy went off just a few minutes ago. He is off to live in Las Vegas. Dinah is the lone puppy here - well for a few more weeks anyhow! Dottie is looking bigger by the day. Not sure if she'll be able to make it all the way to the 5th!

My day is pretty open. I have many, many things I could and should do, but I'm not sure I want to do much of anything. I will see where my spirit takes me.

BTW, Devon -- the video you posted on FB of Grandmother Dog giving the kid "the look" without a single sound and how the kid settled right down was just hilarious.

Good Morning,

Here I am again - start of the working week after a crazy weekend. Im well and truely exhausted and hit the wall yesterday afternoon. It wasnt pretty. High Anxiety coupled with huge knee pain and no opportunity to slow down till evening.......

We got the trees all re-tied, two sides of the back paddock now have electric wire to keep the bull in. Marcus is a true unit but one of the calmest Bulls I have ever seen. Doesnt even test the fences but we had a responsibility to make sure hes kept safe. The calves were seperated but the steer (male one) decided after non stop bellowing for his mum that no electric tape fence was going to keep him in. And after 3 round ups to return him to the paddock with the young heifer we had to give up. So now the poor little girl is in the paddock by herself as she is 10 months old and cant be near the bull. DH built a stand for the bath waterer and we have connected it to a big tank with a float valve so she has constan****er for the week. Our neighbour and family will check them all daily until we are back on Friday night. There will be more fencing next weekend - the little steer will be weaned once behind the new fence as it will be wire not tape.... That will sort him and she will have some company again as the bull will stay for 2 months to do his "job"

Waiting on the plumber to arrive to connect the oven, hotplates, dishwasher etc. My youngest son will come tonight to do all the electrical. I will spend time trying to put the kitchen back together this afternoon also

Big To Do list but working my way through it. Air Conditioner on DH Ute has died as well. It was a very hot trip home from the farm - we had to use the old fashioned cooling system - windows down ha ha ha. On my list to get it looked at today

Hope you all have a great Sunday - full of rest and fun things

S

Greetings All

Not much to report from yesterday as i lead a slothful life. I did make it to the grocery store to get basics. Must cook something with the shrimp DH brought home before it gets too old. Maybe stir fry with veggies since I got some asparagus.

Before I forget, I did look at the wobble dance video. All I could think of was that those women were doing that dance in stilettos and I don't think I could do it wearing orthopedic shoes. All the shoe talk made me remember how I have really limited shoe choices due to world's crappiest feet. But I guess I should be glad I have feet. Anyway I have to hand it to Ann for doing hip hop dancing. Hopping is out of the question for me. No can do except in the pool.

Its rainy and drizzly here. DH decided that the water heater needed draining. No clue why but its mostly done I guess.

Off to the studio and pool. Didn't get there yesterday but I imagine its still there.

Peps love that Dinah. Can't wait to see her at a dog show. Tesla is a furry ball and needs stripping.

Liz so your "I can't think for myself" SIL is back. Such people drive me nuts. I think they think they are being agreeable. Maybe just tell her ahead that "tomorrow is your day to make the plans". But it probably won't work.

Someone just told me a great sounding taco recipe. Get little tortillas, thin slice some good beef and stir fry it, put it on the tortilla and top with cilantro, chopped green onions, a bit of salsa and a slice of avocado. No cheese. Sounds good.

Not much else. Off to greet the day. Diane S
