Thank goodness for Swann's waterproof coat (wish I had one)- Totally wet and dreary rain here...It took more than a fluffy towel to dry me off this morning. Nothing on tap for the rest of the day save making a pot of asparagus soup.
That's about it.. feeling a bit more centered these days and just going with the flow, and gratefully so.

Popping past quickly before Day 3 of Kitchen Reno starts. Builders will be here any minute.
Its going well - they should finish their parts today, plumber tommorrow and my youngest son will come past in the next few days to fit off all the powerpoints etc. I picked the type I wanted last night with him. I need to pick tiles - we will do that. And also either do painting or get the painter in. See how time permits. Then it will be flooring. I think I have picked the one I want and have a sample coming. Will lay it on the floor and ponder it for a bit
Old kitchen is now off the front deck and stacked into the garage - Eldest son and I certainly did a huge workout last night. Finally ate dinner at 8.30 and was in bed exhausted by 9pm
Thats about it for me. Work is crazy busy - that Murphy is a funny fella indeed. Of all the times for everything to just explode. The plus side is I fall into bed each night totally spent. No weight - will get to that soon
Love to you all x
S
I googled, but I give up. Who is Murphy? And how did he explode? And about what?
:)

He he he
Sorry Ann x Im being a typical Aussie and shortening things
Murphy's Law. A rule that states, ?If something can go wrong, it will.? An addition to this law reads, ?and usually at the worst time.? The identity of ?Murphy? is unknown, but the saying was first used during the 1940s and may have originated with members of the armed forces in World War II.
Oh and I forgot to add
I moved a free standing cupboard out of the garage last night - put it in between my ex husbands and Johns cars - went inside to speak to my youngest son re wiring and the wind blew it onto the bonnet and dented it all. I was so upset after the day I had. He was thankfully great about it. My youngest son is driving his Dads car while they put a new engine in his truck. UGGG
Ooooh ... THAT Murphy! I know that guy.
But that's tough about the cupboard blown over on your son's car bonnet/hood. That upsets me all the way over here.

Greetings Fabulous Ones
Sorry to be AWOL. I do check in but don't get around to posting. Probably because I have so little to say about weight control right now. I am not eating horribly (except for candy at the bank) but I am not getting enough protein. Just can't stand protein drinks any more. Maybe I should go to GNC and investigate new offerings.
All the protein muffins sound great. Wish someone would manufacture them. I need to get some frozen stuff like maybe those high protein little pizzas that I used to get. Forgot the brand name. But DH will have to get some stuff out of the freezer - like his lifetime supply of ice cream bars which I do not touch.
Well, that poodle on Westminster certainly was a remarkable specimen and I can see why it won though I would not have chosen it. For sure I would not have reserved the whippet. Oh well, they did not ask me. A friend of mine went to those shows years ago and we actually saw her in the gallery on TV. What a fright to take dogs there. Not allowed in many hotels so they stay the night in their kennels in the building!
Went for a blood draw today for next week. So I had to drive 20 miles WITH NO COFFEE. No one was safe. Much better after I cruised Starbucks.
Millions of errands to run today - payroll, gallery, bank etc. Plus a gallery board meeting tonight where we will drink wine and do little of consequence. I am busy trying to close one of our two gallery bank accounts since we do not need two. But just try calling PGandE to change the automatic billing. Their message said they were very busy due to wind and to call back later. Why is the billing dept busy because it is windy? They offered an email option which i used and they have so far ignored.
BB I had to laugh and cry at your description of the baby/fluid olympics! Guess there will be such days but lordy!.
Dave love the Adalyn stories. And the picture of her step stool. Nice job.
Well off to be useful. Diane S

Are they the Real Good pizzas by chance? I love those!
I just saw #DanielWasRobbed and #JusticeForDaniel are trending on Twitter. One tweet I read said how can they choose a dog topiary over the gorgeous golden who hugged his handler when he won best sporting dog? Dog topiary... ha!
Yep, poodle is a dog topiary. But so are many other breeds. There is a saying among dog show people something like "you can't carve a good dog out of fur". Much in show grooming is done to conceal faults such as a "sway back" or too narrow head. Thats why the judge touches the dog. But yeah that was a wonderful golden and he showed beautifully. Go figure. ds
Let's not Poodle bash, please. All those dogs are cream of the crop. I am not a Whippet fan, but that Whippet is downright gorgeous. I can see why it was RBIS. The poodle is stunning, sound and embodies both the fancy and the working structure of what it once was bred to do. In all honesty, I felt the Golden did not show in Best as well as he did in the Group. Part of dog exhibition is the showmanship of the dog. And as I tell all my dog show friends, "It's just a dog show people. It's a Dog Show!"
LOL!
