Weight 130.6, WW bluepoints 41. I have 4 days until WW weigh-in at which point I need to be 131 or less with clothes to stop paying monthly. I should be able to do that.

We had a good dinner at our friends last night (hence the high points which were worth it). I made some great guacamole from avocados bought at the farmers market: 6 avocados, 4 large tomatoes, 2 limes, and a mango for $5. I love Florida produce prices! Our friend made a wonderful poached salmon on the grill by wrapping it in foil.

We also got a couple of good finds at the rummage sales: a small stool for $3 which I'm going to use as a patio table (I painted it yesterday) and a dolphin lamp for $5. I know it is goofy, but it fits here in Florida (see picture below)!

Today is laundry and giving Justice a bath. It should be warm enough for him today.

Enjoy your Sunday!

  1. Within Range: YES
  2. Blue SmartPoints: 37
  3. General Wellbeing: 9
  4. FSF: snowblowing and shoveling
  5. Yesterday's Insights: Wine has to go !

We got nine inches of snow AND I'm getting money back on my income taxes for the first time in nine years !!! I'm going to play nine on something ! DC was able to start the snowblower for me and the wind was fairly kind when I was working so both visibility and staying warm were in my favor. It snowed some before the first round of ice and there was only a little ice at the end, so removal wasn't bad. I drank water when I first came in, but the wine went down a bit too easily in front of the upstairs fireplace, watching the big puffy flakes fall.

Liz, congratulations on your finds...love the lamp. I'm confident you'll return to lifetime status at your weigh in ! In my 4+ previous attempts at WW before VSG, I never made it to goal, let alone stayed there. So grateful for my sleeve !! Ann, I appreciated your hip hop comments. In the pool the other day, I skipped, galloped and did jumping jacks...something my joints and loose skin don't enjoy on land. It had been well over 50 years for some of those movements ! David, good to hear from you and to be updated on Adalyn's antics ! Yes, your Airstream would be long gone in many regions. The right buyer will find you ! BB and DD, love the FB photos ! Diane, it is a trip finding some of the purchases we've forgotten, isn't it ? The homeless shelter will appreciate DH saving those items for them ! Love to you all... have to run !

Yesterday was another one of those eating-out days that wasn't terrible, but offered more than I'd have liked, thanks to folks who aren't on Weigh****chers and design ladies' luncheons. Forward! :)

I put enough hours between the sheets last night, although my sleep was pretty restless. Good news is my hip-hop ankle injury has almost completely subsided, because I was tough enough not to push my walking yesterday.

BTW, DianeO and DianeS, I'm glad you're both enjoying your local pools. I bet I could do some serious hip-hopping in my local pool if I could get there.

Liz, that lamp is fabulous! Good score!

Today's mostly about reading and writing. Feels good to focus on that. Y'all have a good one.

191.2 another yay day. Tomorrow is my weigh in day, and with my luck I'll be up from today. Thank goodness for weighing daily. I hate to miss seeing the lows. The last time I was down in this range was 191.6 on Jun 8th.

Yesterday was bath day for Ferg. Why did they not make these suction cup things you smear peanut butter on and stick to the wall to keep him occupied when he was younger?? It makes the process so much easier. He got a good toweling off, but was still wet in the evening, so I turned on the fireplace to help the process along. So sweet.

He's so much nicer to pet when he's clean!

Today it's light rain and cool weather. A nice change of pace from relentless gorgeous days. Still making progress on the knitting. Other than that, not much going on today.

Liz, I too love the lamp. And I am happy to hear how weigh****chers is providing a workable plan for those of you using it. I live vicariously through your weigh ins.

Today began with massages for both my dh and me. Then a quick trip to Costco. I should be set for healthy lunches this week. I'm settling in to read the Sunday paper. Later this evening, going to a play. It is a very restorative weekend, indeed.

Good Morning All - Flying in quickly after a super hectic weekend..... I had to pack up my entire kitchen Friday night and 2 hours of Saturday morning after a phone call with the builder.....

12 or so months ago we purchased a really nice secondhand kitchen including oven, hotplate sink etc for AUD $1000. It was in fabulous condition and fitted into our existing space. Our city house is 40 years old and the kitchen is VERY dated. As its eventually going to end up being a rental again, I am loathed to spend big $$$ but saw this as an opportunity to freshen up the place without a massive price tag. Well I had spoken to our builder and tentatively organised it to be installed either 15th or 22nd Feb - both Saturdays. They will rip out the old kitchen and install the new one. Im also getting a fridge cavity put in so that it all fits together better. Well when speaking to him he advised he could start tommorrow - yup - queue chaos! I stayed up really late Friday night and packed like a mad woman - getting most of it done. My darling son came at 7am Saturday morning for a couple of hours and helped me fini**** off. So from tommorrow, this place will look and sound like a construction site. Im hoping I can still work efficiently. Am looking forward to seeing the old tired kitchen gone, inclusive of the awful 80's white tiles (with the pink marble swirl - that show every single piece of dirt, hair or otherwise)

Here is a picture of the kitchen when it was still in the previous owners house. I think( HOPE) it will look as nice in our space. Will take before and after pictures. Wish me luck........

Took my mum out for lunch yesterday, we had a wander through the little shops in a town about 20 mins from here. It was lovely. I then went back to her place and stripped all her beds, did 4 loads of washing and did some online shopping to freshen things up a little. Ordered lovely new pillow toppers for both her bed and spare bed, new sheet sets, hand towels and a few other things. Im meeting her this afternoon to choose a new quilt cover and matching sheets for her bed. Shes organising to get a quote done for new blinds in 2 of the rooms. Should look lovely when finished.

I will pop back and read back on what you have all been up to but for now I had best get myself organised and get some work done

S

I remember, when international home buying shows first showed up on HGTV, being so intrigued by the fact that people moved and took their kitchens with them! I asked my good friend from the UK about it and she said it doesn't happen as much as it used to there. But still, after investing all that money, taking it with you doesn't seem like a bad idea!
