At least you made it to the event. I forgot about a dinner with an old friend on Monday and didn't remember until she texted me that she was at the agreed upon restaurant. I was already at another restaurant 1/2 hour away at mid- meal. She was very forgiving thank goodness.

Thank goodness she was nice about it! Without my Apple calendar I'd be totally lost, as clearly I'm partially lost even with it...

Ceci ... I bought blueberries today, too.

Are you going to still put the ripe banana in the mix, too?

Yes. It needs the mashed bananas and eggs. The blueberries are just to gussy them up.

PS, here's the thing I'm knitting. It's a kind of shawl/poncho, sort of. It has a one piece solid back that goes from your bum to your neck and then it splits so one side goes over one shoulder and the other side over the other. You can belt it like that, sort of poncho like, or throw one side over the opposite shoulder so it's like a big scarf. A good family friend (she threw my mom's baby shower for me) was cleaning out her yarn stash before her remodel required packing up the whole house and I got this alpaca yarn from her. I'm making this as a surprise to give back to her. I have 50 rows left in the back before it splits and it really needs blocking to straighten it all out, but I'm pleased so far...

She and her husband are trapped on a cruise ship off the coast of Japan right now. They've been on a month long cruise of Asia and the coronavirus thing has blown up in the time they've been gone and now no country will let the ship dock despite no one on board showing signs of being sick. She said the cruise has been canceled, but how and where they'll be allowed off is up in the air. Crazy!

Jesus Christ! Are they on THAT ship?! I've been reading about it and a couple more that are quarantined in the far east. Bless their hearts. I heard that all socializing was canceled, including all alcohol.

Jeez ... quarantine with no alcohol.

I know ... white people problems, but still ...!

They're on the Holland America ship, not the Diamond Princess with all the sick people, thankfully! So no quarantined people on board, no one with any symptoms, but no port will take them (they've been turned away from the Philippines, Taiwan, Japan, and Guam). So still floating refugees!

As pandemic quarantines go, that's definitely the top tier. Whew!

I sure hope there is plenty of food (and alcohol)!
