  1. Within Range: YES
  2. Blue SmartPoints: 19
  3. General Wellbeing: 9.5
  4. FSF: strength circuit, elliptical
  5. Yesterday's Insights: If you can't be outside, a virtual trail on an elliptical is the next best thing; If I am going to do it, I'm going to do it right !

After months of limping along with an aging microwave (why ?!) we purchased a new over the range vented microwave, and will have outside venting installed along with the swap out. The old microwave vented into the cupboards above. WW weigh in this morning and back in my range. Six weeks of maintenance, then Lifetime monthly weighing. Expecting 1-2 inches of ice tonight and snow tomorrow into Friday. Enough!

Diane, Congrats! "Within Range: YES"! I wish I had arranged for outside venting of my hood when it was replaced. We set off the fire alarm frequently (DS has learned to cook with the window open).

Weight 130!!!! (WW bluepoints 11) A weight not seen since April. I had a productive bathroom day, drank a lot of water and stayed on plan. My next goal was to be back within WW lifetime range by weigh-in day next week. I didn't think it would happen but now it is achievable. I won't have to pay if I am 131 or lower with clothing on weigh-in day.

It is supposed to be partly cloudy and 80 today. The number of people expressing condolences is dropping off thank goodness. One was the yoga teacher who I met last year through the Alzheimer's Support group here. Her husband is in long-term care and mostly non-responsive. He also had early onset so is close to my DH's age.

Today we walk to the coffee shop with our friends, then are going out to lunch with them. So a busy day.

Enjoy Hump day!

Weight: 141.2 ... WTF?
Veggies/Fruits: 7
Macronutrients: Cals - 1,425, Carbs - 137, Fats - 45, Protein - 113, Fiber - 25?
Green SmartPoints: 32
Water: 3 cups
Sleep: 6.5 hours
Exercise: 75" yoga class and 9,554 steps

DianeO, congratulations! "Back in range." Love the sound of that. And Liz, go, girl!

But here the scales are up ANOTHER pound! I swear I didn't eat that much Monday night. Like Liz, I'm flushing out with water today big-time.

Today's the last day before WW weigh-in tomorrow, and today's luncheon with a friend is the last of my seven, count them, seven social events this week. Starting tomorrow I plan to hibernate. I have only one social outing next week (on Tuesday), and I can navigate that one easily.

Then next Thursday or Friday I leave for NOLA and Mardi Gras, assuming my friends' health permits any Mardi Gras'ing. Their situation is up in the air, but for now I'm assuming it's a go, although am also prepared to cancel.

It's still raining here, with ice predicted for tonight and tomorrow. But they're probably lying.

Happy hump day to all. xoxoxo

P.S. Ceci ... I made the muffins last night. They're OK, but bland. Next time I'll add blueberries and a little vanilla extract; I think that'll improve them a good deal. :) For now, though, they're going in the freezer.

In range, Diane, way to go!! Perseverance pays off, and you've had it 100%! And Liz--whoohoo you! It so pleases me to see the effort that is yielding such great results. I am not even close to dealing with what and how food and I are relating--an unhealthy affair - the slow creep should be freaking me out- but not.

Beautiful snow here today 4/5 inches with huge feather bed flakes. Swann and I were out and about in the fields this morning. The dog is crazy for the snow--so funny!

Chicken soup on the menu today. DH made a loaf of cinnamon raisin bread to go with it (I need to throw the bread maker in a snow bank- or wear a clothespin on my nose---or something.)

Stay warm, toasty, and enjoy!

LOL! My husband and I were TERRIFIED!!! of bread machines. We swore we could never be trusted with one, and although we bought every other kitchen appliance known to boomers, our terror kept us from ever owning one. Still scares me to even think of having access to one.

Good Morning All

Second Cup of Tea in hand, dishwasher unloaded, dogs outside and chooks happily running around their enclosure.

Had a nice night with my mum last night. Set up her IPAD, downloaded some free books for her. Did IOS update on her phone so that her internet banking would work again. She enjoyed the dinner I made for her. Made enough so she can have a serve tonight. Sent her home with Apple, Sultana and Cinnamon turnovers plus a bunch of stuff from the freezer.

Not sure what is on the agenda for tonight after work. I may start planting out the clivias in the garden bed under the deck roofline. A job I have been wanting to do for a long time. Planning to do a bit of gardening this weekend. Had 8 more pots delivered from my plant lady last night - so they will need to go into the ground. Will definately need to give the nandinas a huge haircut as they are taking over the garden. Toying with the idea of pulling them out. Will think on it. Also want to take out an awful wooden seat the previous owners made along with some straggly plants - level that area and move the dog pen to there. It should look a lot neater. Will see how much I can achieve on my own (knee willing) as DH is still in QLD.

Congratulations to both Diane O and Liz on those impressive numbers :) Proud of you ladies x

Well I guess I had best go start my morning. Didnt sleep well last night so think today is going to be a looooonnnnggg one

Love to all - wonderful tribe

"Clivias" ... sounds vaguely sexual, but isn't.

Y'all, here are some gorgeous pix of clivias:
