My favorite playlist is soo motivational !! I hit a sweet spot swimming laps yesterday, so I made it a mile. Fitbit says I my sleep was 94% restorational last night (below resting heart rate, which is 54 for me). My Cardio tracker indicated that I went below my pre-set low level of 38 twice, which I'm not especially concerned about. Today is a strength day, and I get my nails done this afternoon. Tomorrow and Thursday, more snow and ice, so we may have to adjust accordingly.
Liz, picturing you and Justice on the beach. DD, I hope you have a smooth reentry to the harsh reality of winter ! Ann, hope your sojourn and poker night went well. Ceci, have a blast in San Diego! I never made it to the zoo. Shirl, your energy continues to amaze me. Hope the knee is feeling better. Peps, thanks for the posts of pups and their forever homes ! Did that sweet looking lady end up with Purple? They seemed meant for each other! Diane, your posts make me smile every time ! I so wish we lived closer together ! David, eager for more woodworking and Adalyn stories, and to hear that your knee is progressing. BB, those girls are over the top in looking happy and sweet! You can just tell that they are curious and eager !

Weight 132.4, WW blue points 18. I'm planning on going to a WW meeting on Thursday which will be a day later than my Wednesday meetings back on Cape Cod. I'm only down .2 since last Wednesday which of course doesn't really count so I need to get my act together to show any loss.
Yesterday I forgot a dinner I had set up with an old friend. I really don't do well unless I have reminders looking at me! I felt so embarrassed when I received her text that she was at the restaurant. Luckily she had another friend with her so she didn't have to eat alone.
Today I am doing my usual morning walk, then I plan to sit by the pool in the sun!! I didn't go yesterday but I did walk through and dealt with a fair number of the "I'm sorry" and "How are you doing?". Can't wait to be done with all that.
Have a great day!

Productive Day yesterday, work then I helped DS clean out all his clothes drawers as he mentioned lots wasnt fitting. I had intended taking him shopping once done but low and behold we found lots of the things he needed stuffed in there! Boys ! It has all been re-washed and is on the line. The too small stuff has a new home at the op shop. He then helped me do a little gardening out the back. Cleaned up around the Bay tree and put fresh soil in the bed - planted some daisys as I think they will do ok there.Little colour if nothing else. The test will be if the 3 dogs will leave then alone and not decide to lay all over them.
Had frozen mango to use up so made a couple of batches of mango and custard muffins. They are bagged up and in the freezer. Sending some to my mum and DS is taking some back to his Dads when he leave this morning. Stewed up some apples that needed using - My Mum is coming for dinner tonight. Will make her apple and sultana turnovers for dessert. Cooking her pork chops with apple sauce, sweet potato wedges and ceasar salad - lots of her favourite things. Then I will set up her new IPAD and show her how to use it. Have already set up her profile on our Netflix account - see if she uses it
So thats my day, just work and pottering as I continue the house slow house re-sort and clean up
I had best go make a start on the emails. Love to you all

Greetings all
Just typed a nice chatty post which computer ate. Rats.
Today is our 24 wedding anniversary. Going out to restaurant favored by locals. Hope for oysters or crab. Yum
Roofer came to bid for new roof. 25 years old. Needs new before we can do solar. Will be 50k before its all done. Not sure its worth it.
DH out running errands. No doubt roses from Safeway. Its all good. At least it won't be TV trays and such like early years. Hate that kind of gift.
Liz soak up sun for all. We have some here but its quite cold.
Well not going to risk this getting eaten again.
I am wearing some socks given to me by Shel. Sweet.

First of all, I knocked poker night out of the park in terms of the spread I put on. It was a top-end charcuterie table, and the lads were over the moon with the amount of cholesterol on that table. ? I, on the other hand, didn't really eat all that much, but I did eat what appealed to me. Good news is I did NOT overeat. But I sure did not measure or weigh (or even remember for sure) anything that went in my mouth. In other words, I did what intuitive eating would look like at an event like that. I really don't care that the scales went up a pound.
I even stayed up two hours after everyone left to wash all the dishes, clean the kitchen, and dust mop the whole house. I was able to salvage most of the leftovers, and have frozen some of them to work into menus over the next few months. All the veggies and fruits I'll work into the next week's eating. The five left-over brownie bites I threw away! Very proud of myself for that. BTW, I ate only one last night during the bacchanalia.
I was pooped when I went to bed just before midnight, but it was a JOY to walk into the kitchen this morning to a clean scene. Then, even though I was a little tired, I DID GO to yoga class. And I feel so much better physically and mentally after doing so.
This afternoon I've been cooking up food that needs to be eaten or frozen so it doesn't go bad. I really hate to waste food, even sweet potatoes and apples that are almost over the hill (I'm baking the apples right now). Ceci, I'm going to bake those Kodiak banana muffins later tonight. Jeez, I sound like I'm channeling Shirl, although I'm not even close to venturing the endeavors of any random half hour of her life.
The rest of the week I'll be back to my normal schedule. Good therapy session yesterday, but too long to go into it all now.
Hope your Tuesdays are going well.
xoxoxoxo

Sounds like everything went wonderfully xxx
Chanelling me - ha ha ha - Im just a sucker for food waste. Its a passion of mine - hence it gets turned into something else. Baked Apples sound delicious :)
Sweet Potatos - maybe you could make them into a WW friendly Hash Brown? Less Cheese - more egg n onion etc etc - just a thought. I love Sweet Potatos :)
Back from Florida and back to work. We got home from the airport around midnight, and I was in bed by 12:30am, and up at 6am. I was not at peak performance today for sure. Tomorrow I have a PT appointment and am mildly chagrined to go and admit I didn't really do my strength building exercises while I was out of town. I will, however, keep my appointment, and this week will be more disciplined.
Florida was a mixed bag. Not sunny during the weekend, but definitely warmer than home. My parents were not in a good way. They chose to drive themselves from Minnesota despite many offers from me to drive them, or fly with them. My mother is physically very fragile, she just finished radiation. My Dad is physically robust, but more easily frustrated than when he was younger. They arrived less than a week before us, and where still wiped out. Things were in disarray, with a tinge of despair. DH and I began sorting things out, buying some food, him getting the stored car running, unpacking, running errands, getting a hot spot through my Mom's phone so she could have internet for her laptop. They were in much better spirits by the time we left. One incident is haunting me... My Mom was showering, and my Nordic father, a man who rarely shows intense emotion, suddenly doubled over and sobbed, and repeated a couple of times, your Mom is sicker than anybody knows, what are we going to do? I could only hug him and say, we will do what everybody does, we will get through it somehow. We'll help you, you won't do it alone. 60 years of marriage. Nobody knows what the next few years hold, but my Dad is not wrong to think he will outlive his only love. I'm mulling over whether my brother and I should meet to discuss "what will we do" or my brother and our spouses, or my brother, me and my parents... regardless, my husband said, they need more help. It's clear. We're going to need to step it up. (Can I just say how much I love him, he just offers without even being asked). It hurts and it feels so hard. I'll do it anyway.
We did get in some beautiful walks at a nature reserve near their house, listened to live music, found a new incredible Mediterranean restaurant, visited with some old family friends... My eating went off the rails. Trying to regain control now.
Our group count for NYC trip is up to 18!!! Restaurant reservations are challenging, but it should be an absolute blow out blast!
I told DH I need a resting on lounges, reading/swimming vacation as soon as school is done. He's already shopping for airfare. Keeping him for as long as he will have me.
Oh, he's a keeper, DD! You've got one of the good ones. :)
