Weight 133, WW blue points 19. I'm going out to dinner tonight and tomorrow (everyone wants to say goodbye). I suspect the same on Sunday when we get to Florida, so somehow I think this week isn't going to show much loss.
I guess it is good to go out tonight as I have been down all week and just doing the things I feel I have to do.
Today is yoga, sending forms for IRA transfer from DH's to mine, and more thank you's. I put a change of address in for my mail, but it is still arriving. Arghhh...
Have a Good Friday!

I got an error when I submitted this post and thought I had to do a redo. I was relieved to see that it hadn't disappeared!

Thanks, y'all, for your feedback yesterday re navigating dining-out and party challenges. Last night's book club dinner meeting was fun and easy to navigate, thanks to The Dieter's Favorite Restaurant Order (a small chicken Caesar salad with dressing on the side).
Yesterday, Amazon delivered my new vacuum cleaner, dust buster, dust mop, and thermal coffee pot (I finally decided to quit nuking cold coffee ... ugh!). I assembled all my new toys and am now using each one. The vacuum cleaner, a Shark Navigator Lift-Away Professional NV356E, is pretty cool. When I select the "carpet feature," it actually moves forward on its own, like a self-driving car or a self-propelling push lawn mower. I like this kind of new technology. :) I only wish I could command: "Shark, vacuum the entire house, empty the dirt in the garbage, and park yourself in the closet!"
Today I'm not leaving the house until late afternoon. My CPA, whose wife died last March (they'd been married 65 years), turns 83 today; his health is terrible (he's no longer allowed to drive), so most months I organize a Widows Dinner for him and another friend whose husband died last year. It's been a good thing for all of us.
Lately I'm really getting into meditation music and jazz, thanks to my new iPhone and Air Pods. It's surprising how destressing that kind of music can be for me. I'm probably rewiring my brain in weird ways and would bet that out there somewhere is published scientific research warning about listening to music like this for hours at a time. But at the moment I don't care, since it makes otherwise blah'ish chores like walking, housecleaning and bill-paying easier.
Today's theme is (shocker!) T.G.I.F. For those with Amazon Prime, here's a temple bells recording that might help launch your weekend. :)
P.S. Liz, I hope you enjoy your night out tonight. Your self-care right now looks very good from where I sit.

Hi all! I headed to Costco this morning for supplies (jumbo shrimp, eggs, raspberries, protein shakes...). What a ZOO. I forgot it was the Friday before the super bowl. But that chore is done. Now a quick grocery store visit and I'm done with errands fir the day. It's in the 80s today and so beautiful!
You know I struggle with lunch ideas. For lunch I've been enjoying an Orowheat sandwich thin roll with a half serving of light mayo and a heap of picked rotisserie chicken and a piece of fruit or steamed veggies. Easy and repeatable without getting tired of it. My grocery store sells containers of rotisserie chicken meat, which is awesome because I don't enjoy picking it off a whole bird myself and gives them a chance to use up the whole warm birds that don't sell. I also made chicken soup with it (no noodles or rice).
I made another batch of the muffins. This time they stuck to the pan. So next time I really need to get the spray everywhere. Or ooh, I think I have silicone baking cups somewhere now that I'm thinking about it.
Anyway, off to the store and then into my backyard to soak in some vitamin D and warm my bones.
Greetings All
Here I am dawdling around when I should be doing something useful. Heading to the studio soon I guess. Did some grocery shopping today since I did not want to get caught up in the super bowl crush. Got a pot roast to slow cook for the event. Plus guac. And skinny pop. Cecily you were brave to do costco.
Ann I had a self propelled hover many years ago when they first came out. It sort of took off like a rocket and ran into stuff but I really liked that old machine and used it 30 years before it sucked up its own cord and killed itself. Glad you found a good one.
This AM with no warning one of the crappy shelves in the bathroom just fell off the wall. No one hurt but it makes me wary about all the other such crappy shelves DH has put up. I really hate them - they are ugly. Hope the rest fall down.
Good on all you WW people. I salute you.
Liz have a fun night out. Well deserved.
Hey I see on facebook that Peps will be a puppy dad again soon. Yay fun.
Hugs all. Diane S
Hoping the shelves fall down but while no one is in the bathroom!
