Good morning! I'll start us off today.
Yesterday was productive, and the weather was gorgeous! I enjoyed puttering around here and running errands. My lawn guy came by and put lime down on my yards near the house. I also ordered lime for the Big Yard, which will be put down a month from now. He's also sending out his crew later this week to trim hedges and some holly trees that grow like Sequoias and do some massive leaf removal from lawns and flower beds. I'm in the mood to pay him to do it, since I'm so busy cleaning and fluffing up the inside of my house at the moment.
But last night I slept like crap. Craaaazy dreams! Quite untypical for me. It was a night of airport and travel-connection nightmares and dreams in which I was having to solve problems that were nearly insoluble with awful deadlines. Jeez, where did that all come from?! When I'm not asleep, I'm really feeling quite chill lately. :)
Today will be social, or what passes for "social" around here: an early yoga class, then home to change, then off to a midday club meeting/luncheon (soup this time), and grocery shopping.
I'm doing well, feeling well. My knee pain (caused by that fall last September at our local hospital benefit) is now barely there. In fact, it took me half an hour this morning to realize I had ZERO pain, and that's before doing my physical exercises. I'll keep at them for a few more weeks though. I'm thrilled the pain has subsided so well this month. I'm now walking more (hitting 10K steps most days) and consistently doing yoga@home four times a week. Boy, does it feel good to be able to move again!
I've also added some light weight-lifting at home three times a week (mainly working on form). The trainer I want to work with this year is fully booked right now, so he and I did a brief consultation last week re what I can do on my own for now. After only one week I'm already sore, so that's a good thing. :)
That's all I got, kids. Have a good one. :)

I am jealous of your good weather. It has been somewhat mild here for the last few days (mid 40's) but much colder at night. I'm glad you are getting fit and your knee is healed. Those injuries take a long time especially in us "older" people.
16 bags of clothing and shoes are at the curb for pickup by the epilepsy foundation today. Yesterday I finished cleaning out the remaining drawers and the hat boxes (retaining the ones I thought the kids might want). I need to find an organization that takes CDs as we have many boxes of those.
I did not start writing thank yous yesterday but I will today. I am starting to make lists of what I need to bring back to Florida and stack it on a chair. I'm bringing back more than expected because I lost enough weight to justify bringing down a few more items of clothing. I may have to use a larger carry-on than usual. I already have two activities planned in Florida in addition to daily walking and swimming. It looks like it is going to be warming to the mid to upper 70's down there (it has been quite cool apparently).
Enjoy your Tuesday!

Liz, you're getting so much done. That's your "executive style" powering you through this stuff. And it's impressive.
Likewise, you're tackling the lose-the-regain project just awesomely. That's impressive, too. I'm so tickled for you!
That's not to say, I don't imagine you're feeling a lot of things right now. With more feelz on the way. It's what's for breakfast for widows (to paraphrase a cereal marketing tagline).

I had loads of weird dreams too! Couldn't tell you what any of them were, but made for a strange night anyway.
Do any of you have the NextDoor app for your neighborhood? As my friend perfectly put it, it's great for lost dogs, but the the rest of it is a mess. Ours is blowing up with this coronavirus stuff. Some people are hysterical and they are VERY vocal. The rational people gave up after a few suggestions to only listen to facts and wash your hands frequently. The crazies are trading what stores are sold out of masks, trading contradictory rumors about the sick person in our town, talk of government conspiracies (Chinese and US), and keeping their kids home from school. The health department has the person in isolation and said the risk is very low. But I still saw EIGHT people in the grocery store with masks on yesterday. It's nuts.
Eating is still fine. I did go a little crazy by savoring 3 Lindor truffles left from Christmas for 11 points, but I have given myself permission for some post-Monday weigh in treats. Last week was a little ice cream.
Weather is supposed to warm up here into the 70s and 80s over the next week, so I need to soak it up!
Have good days, everybody!
People be crazy. And you can't fix crazy.
(sigh)

The downward trend continues.
Stats:
- weight - 265.5
- points - 29
- exercise - nothing formal yesterday. Cleaned puppy pens, though!
- self care - not much to speak of, but felt good about eating. That's a plus for me.
Glad the fires have let up in many parts of OZ, though I guess some are still burning, but from what I read, it's a far sight better. Shirl, I love your Aussie Speak. Don't stop! It's the best!!!!
Ann, there is a richness to your quality of life that I would like to emulate. Not sure if I can even pinpoint what it is. It may not be tangible, but you've got something good going there. I often come away from your posts with a feeling of, "Oh, I wish I had a little bit of that, too!" And, like I said, I'm not even sure most of the time what "that" is. LOL.
Food was really great yesterday. I allowed myself to be hungry and even gain a comfort level with it. I was able to remind myself and prove to myself (once again) that the hunger goes away, even if I don't eat. Funny how that works.
I believe I need a nap. I won't take one, but it sure sounds delightful right now. Ah, who knows. I have a training session at 6:00 so maybe I have time for a power nap. LOL!
I love my pups, but I am ready for my little poop machines to move on to their forever homes. They are getting big and I can tell some of them are just itching for the one on one time they need. It's good to be ready to let them go.
Students are currently in art - sketching a 'still life' of a guitar and tambourine. They are doing a very nice job.
Must be like teenagers. They drive their parents a little crazy at the end of high school so they are more willing to let them go. LOL

Devon, thank you for the love. I really, really appreciate it.
Two years after my beloved's passing I am spending more and more time in my joy place and less and less time in my shocked, stunned, gravity-has-evaporated space.
That doesn't mean my eyes didn't leak this morning during end-of-the-hour restoration pose at yoga class. But that moisture is mostly tears of love and joy and gratitude.
BTW, I still talk to him, both silently and out loud, throughout the entire day. It's so odd, this BEING with someone who is not with me anymore. I imagine it's pure fantasy, but just writing "I love you, baby!" at the end of my Morning Pages fills my soul with ecstasy. (To which he would probably say something like, "Aw, shucks, honey!")

FYI, I made some yummy WW friendly muffins from a Pinterest recipe. 2 points each on green, 1 on blue.
2 ripe bananas mashed with fork
2 beaten eggs
1/2 cup of Kodiak protein pancake and waffle mix (I used buttermilk, but they have several flavors including chocolate)
1/2 cup blueberries or something else if you're feeling creative
generous pinch or two of salt
Mix everything and divide into 6 muffin tin wells that have been sprayed with cooking spray. Bake at 350 for 18 minute****s the "baked goods" craving if you're having one.
