It is both Peps :)

Cuppa - a cup of tea or coffer 'Drop by this arvo for a cuppa' means please come and visit this afternoon for a cup of tea or coffee.

I forget I automatically use Aussie Slang - Must be more mindful - else I will have you all running to Google to work out what on earth Im talking about - he he he

I actually know what the British cuppa is, but I know coffee is a thing in Australia and NZ, so I was curious if cuppa included coffee, too. In England is most certainly does not include coffee! LOL! (Or it didn't used to...)

Thank you, Shirl!

But "ocker" isn't in that Aussie slang dictionary.

Here, for others who are also feeling lost in the Tasman sea, is this Wikipedia entry re ocker.

We are creatures with many layers :)

I most definately do not wear a blue singlet - though thongs are my footwear of choice in summer :)

Maybe I shared this before, but when I first got my Aussie sister, we were teenagers. (She was our AFS exchange student). We were shopping at the mall, and she said she wanted to buy a sloppy joe, so I took her to the food court. She looked puzzled and asked, why are we here? Well, because you want a sloppy Joe. I don't know if any place has them, but if they did, it would be here. Finally we figured it out, Yankee: sloppy Joe = sandwich. Aussie: sloppy Joe = sweatshirt.

I did not log food all weekend, but was very conscious of my choices. I was a little short on veggies this weekend, but I kept calories to a minimum and actually tried a little intermittent fasting. I did a 16 hour fast Saturday to Sunday. In turn, I ate only two meals yesterday and was actually very satisfied. Today, I waited until 10:30 to eat (during morning recess). Chocolate chip cookies were the treat of the kid of the week. I refrained until I could look up the points. Looking up the points influenced my choice. What's the saying, "Knowledge is Power"???? LOL! I did have cookie this afternoon, but it was not impulse driven and logged before I ate it. I can deal with that.

I referred to my sugar foibles yesterday as "Random Acts of Chocolate". I realize how absolutely on point that is for me. Chocolate appears in my life at random and I indulge. Sometimes my random eating of chocolate is not so random, but "Random Acts of Chocolate" describes very my thoughtless, addictively driven consumption of chocolates and baked goods.

3.7 pounds was my weight loss for the week. I am happy with that.

Stats:

  1. weight - 266.3
  2. points - didn't log this weekend
  3. exercise - nothing formal yesterday, but did groom for 5 hours.
  4. self care - massage yesterday

Puppies are on their way out. Last week was stressful on the puppy owner front. All is good now, but I had to do some soul searching and I do stress about disappointing people, but once I focus on the long term welfare of my puppies, everything becomes clear and focused. Providence has a way of making sure it all works out the way it is supposed to.

I think I practiced adulting this weekend - especially in food consumption. I ate moderately. Must keep it up.

Wishing our tribe a week of realistic fulfillment!
