The cleaning/organizing bug bit me too! My food storage containers have been multiplying. Like socks, there is often not a matching set and they do become more brittle with age, yet I rarely throw them out. I had them jammed three different places and it was getting out of control. Said the Serenity Prayer and YUP, I could change it. I spread the whole mess out on the clean kitchen floor (got new sponge mop last week) and sorted, throwing out old and non matches. Please don't judge me, but we do not use our dishwasher. I then organized them in the bottom rack of my dishwasher, with lids and bottoms adjacent. Love it !!

Diane, that's a great new use you've made of precious, unused kitchen space. No judgment here!
I'm still enjoying getting my house in order. For example, I'm in love with my bathroom again! I now have about a quarter of the stuff that, one week ago, was on top of cabinets and around the tub and in the shower and around the bathtub and sinks. The rest has been thrown out or put away in cabinets, drawers, closets, shelves, etc. where you're SUPPOSED to store stuff that was never meant to be displayed.
BTW, why do we think that three almost empty bottles of who-knows-how-old toilet cleaner is that precious? Is this part of our always-clean-your-plate/never-throw-away-leftovers obsession we suffer from in the eating/food arena?
BTW, on Saturday my facialist gifted me with some good wisdom: "For me, spring cleaning isn't just about getting things clean, but about getting a fresh start on life." Boy, did that ring true. Living in an ordered, clean home has always felt like good self-care to me. As always, others' mileage may vary.
Today I'm going shopping for new entry rugs to catch dirt before it gets tracked into the house. My old ones were nasty!
And now I'll shut up about spring cleaning.
As Liz might say, let's have a magnificent Monday!

Weight 132.4, WW bluepoints 13. I was tired and a bit hungover yesterday so didn't want to eat much - it made up for the extra points the prior day!
I wouldn't mind feeling more organized, but I have an order in my mind: First go through and give away/donate/toss DH's things. His remaining clothing after the family took what they wanted is going tomorrow to the local epilepsy foundation. I might go through the two remaining drawers of his this week, but that will be it until after Florida. The second priority is my son's to accomplish: Sorting through the boxes of stuff that I trip over every time I go into the storage area and paring it down to what he really wants. Third is going through DH's camping and hiking equipment and donating/giving it away. After that I can start attacking the remaining family junk that we either moved from our other home or accumulated here over the last 5 years. I guess I won't be moving into a condo anytime soon. Nor will I get to scrubbing corners with toothbrushes in the near future.
Today I am going to yoga and walking the dog. I may start writing thank you notes, but that may wait until tomorrow.
As Ann said, have a magnificent Monday!

Weight 194 I STILL weigh more than NZ. Amazing the damage I can do in a short time. But today was my weigh in day and I was down 2 pounds, 13.8 all together. And 9.2 from a healthy BMI. 19 from the top of my range.
The movie, Uncut Gems, was terrible and I left 45 minutes in. Movies about seedy underbellies of life, lowlifes, violence, and compulsive gamblers ruining their lives is too much.
Not much on tap today.
Happy Monday!
Ceci ... you are kicking it! :)
How long have you been at this ... three weeks or four?
P.S. I never lost 13 pounds in a month even after surgery! Jeez, girl ... I'm in awe!

Thanks so much, Ann!! This is 4 weeks. When I'm eating poorly it's mostly empty carbs and my body swells like a thirsty sponge. When I eat well, it's devoid of crappy carbs and the sponge gets wrung out pretty quickly. I think I've now settled down to more "normal" weekly losses.
Good Morning All, Up early to take DH to the train station so figured I would just stay up and get some things done. Shorter working week as yesterday was a holiday for Australia Day. We are going to my DSS house tonight as per usual. I made a batch of banana and blueberry muffins yesterday to take along. Cooked all afternoon when we got back from the farm so some more meals in the freezer.
All this spring cleaning talk - I am in awe. I look around and have so much I need to be sorting and get rid of. Its on my mental list for winter when Im stuck inside. Whether I get it all done remains to be seen. We re-did the chicken coop fencing on Saturday and yesterday DH took down half a wooden fence that was literally falling down. It looks a lot better. More to do but its a step in the right direction.
No weight. I will tommorrow. Its been a weekend of eating.... My youngest is 21 today so I will go and have a cuppa with him before I head over to my stepsons.
Hope you all have a wonderful Monday
