Thank you for your update Shirley on your DH. His condition sounds similar to that of my brother which is Amlydosis. His body produces a nasty protein with lodges in his heart and messes it up. It is not cancer but the treatments are cancer myeloma drugs. His current one seems to be helping trash the nasty proteins but he is still very tired.

Interesting about the diesel exposure. No telling what all is out there that we have been exposed to. Wishing your DH and you the best. DS

Shirl, I didn't know your DH was facing anything like that. So sorry to hear this.

I'm home early today, since I had a root canal appointment at noon. Apparently I have an infection without symptoms. When they opened the roots I could SMELL the infection. Yuck! Still surprised it wasn't aching.

We leave for Florida a week from today. My feet are ready with my fresh pedicure.

It will be a quiet evening as I rest my jaw, which, if it wasn't hurting before, is sore now after all the manipulations involved in a root canal.

DH works this weekend. I'm planning a marathon shopping trip combing through all the winter clearance items where I will discover something I had no idea I needed until that very moment. :)

Did you see an endodontist for your root canal? I have had 3 root canals all done by the same endodontics doc. It is amazing how quickly and easily it goes with the special equipment designed especially for root canals.

Yes, me and my endodontist go way back, he even came to his office once on Labor Day to do an emergency root canal. Sadly, I have very weak, sad teeth. I've lost count, but I think I have had 10 root canals, and even sadder, two of them eventually failed and the tooth had to be pulled anyhow. My first root canal was when I was 14. That is one that eventually needed to be pulled.

Love your mood today, Ann! Very contagious.

I'm still holding on to the good eating and IF. I have knitting tonight, but don't really want to go, however the group going is small enough today it would be bad if I backed out. I'm sure I'll have fun, but will be passing on the goodies of which there will likely be a lot as it's outside my eating window.

Anyway, Ferg is demanding a walk. Must dash!

Knitting group? I didn't think many of those existed these days. I might like to knit to keep my hands busy but the arthritis in my fingers wouldn't allow for that (nor would the eczema on my thumbs and forefingers). I used to knit a lot when I was very young.

Greetings All

What! Bone marrow biopsy Shirley?!? Whats this about and who needs it. Hoping it goes well and is not uncomfortable and mainly for good results.

Not much food news here. Pot pies all around. Not healthy but highly comforting plus we spit one. Plenty of meat.

Ann good on you for speaking happiness. We all could use a dose. Thinking the "Pharell" song or however you spell that name.

WE await the solar panel guy to tell us how to spend thousands quickly. DH has a bee in his bonnet for solar. I am resigned to it. I know its a good thing and a tax help but not in the mood for a project. Today is the walk around on the roof day. Fortunately they are busy and won't be able to do anything for awhile.

My tv has committed hari kari over the horrid news of the day. Can't take much more.

I have decided that if I am going to snack its got to be skinny pop corn. DH is going to costco tomorrow so I will tell him to stock up.

Have a 7 hour day at the gallery tomorrow. Filling in for a friend there with a sick brother. Know what thats like. Taking lots of paper stuff to do. Sales tax, rent accounting. Also iPad stocked with games.

Ten years ago I got a cook book designed for eating after WLS. Rediscovered it while cleaning out junk. I will peruse it tonight during the exploding alien hour.

Not much else. Sympathies to you with snow and ice. Snow is fun. Ice is not.

Ann, I try to soak up your positivity that you give in all of your post.

I had lost about 25 lbs with knee replacement. I have regained it back again. Reverted to grazing. Cecily talked about getting ready to start eating right. And what a mind game that can be. I am almost there. 25 lbs swing is huge. My clothes are getting tight.

Stayed busy today. Finished 3 more cutting boards. Walnut. If it would warm up I could cut some downed trees. I have a big hickory and 3 oaks blow overs. 2 of them are connected enough to still be alive.

I have Adalyn most of the day tomorrow because she has a stomach bug and DD has school all day. Hope I can make her day better.

more later, david
