First, David.. your responses helped me more than my Primary did ! For the love of God, he told me to eat more sugar ! Are you flipping kidding me ? I did follow my bag of glucose gummies with nuts and cheese, which I believe lessened that rebound. I was so totally disgusted with him that I didn?t even mention the cellulitis. It is a small spot and if it gets bigger or redder, or I develop a fever, I?ll go to Urgent Care for antibiotics. I?m so done with him !
Liz, hope things continue to settle in. How much of your FL time will you have company ? It sounds like your friends are eager to have you back ! David, your house plans look fabulous ! I?m confident you?ll find just the right buyer for the silver bullet. Ann, your trips are so exciting ! I love the way you factor in living your best life with the balance you are learning you need. Ceci, you are rocking !! Good for you ! You have certainly reclaimed your mojo ! Shirl, glad the rain is helping the farm, and I?m confident you?ll rig something to prevent hill erosion in the city. Ouchies on the knee ! Peps, your flooring project is so exciting ! Flooring is such a challenge with active dogs ! They can skid and slip on hard floors, and those muddy prints show unless you select the color that blends with your soil. Carpeting supports sure footing but is impossible to keep clean and sweet smelling. Pet friendly area rugs are a good thing on hard surfaces. Diane, every time you mention a banana delivery, you make me smile. Any luck getting DH to the pool ? DD, hope those IEP meetings are done ! Bonnies, we miss you ! Shel, you are missed too !
P.S. I walked by the Kits mansion Meghan and Harry are supposedly considering in Vancouver 15+ times during my visit ! The view of the city is second to none !!

Diane, I think you need a new PCP! There are a few other people on OH who have non-diabetic hypoglycemia. If you put a post on the main forum you may get some useful advice on what works.
I will have at minimum my SIL most of the time I am in Florida, though she goes home the first week in March for an oncologist appointment and how long she comes back for will depend on that visit. DDs are coming for a long weekend in mid-March. I think other SIL will come in April and we might go to Key West for a couple of days. I have always wanted to go there but the timing was never good.
Weight 134 again, but I think it is bathroom issues. I made the vegetarian chili that I love yesterday and the high fiber sometimes stops me up for a day. Tomorrow I plan to go back to the Wednesday WW meeting that I prefer and I would like to have not gained anything since Saturday. I really didn't because I haven't gone crazy, but you know the head interprets bounces up...
Today I have nothing planned, though I may go get my Real ID license. I'm not ready to start writing Thank You's yet.
Enjoy your day!

Good morning! It is gray and gloomy, but more mild today. Low 50s already.
It feels like a Monday... Luckily, we were well prepped for a back to school morning and all went without a hitch getting puppies and dogs taken care of, fed and cleaned up. Today at school is a wonderful day! I have two make up sessions for missed specialist instruction, my regular specialist session, AND a guest scientist coming in for a 30-45 minute hands on activity. Whooo hoooo! Personally, I won't get much done with curriculum, but the kids will have a great day. What a fun day for them after a long holiday weekend!!!! They are currently trying to learn how to play their recorders and it is a joyful cacophony of high pitched noise! I LOVE IT!
Lunch is packed. I made a small breakfast and I am back to logging for WW Blue. Such a mind trip this food thing. I so desperately want to understand my disfunction around eating, weight loss, and maintaining healthy eating habits.
Ceci, 12 pounds in three weeks is AWESOME! Pat yourself on the back and line yourself up for a massage or pedicure or something else to celebrate your consistency and effort.
Diane O., I am so surprised by your PCP's advice. It is not based in nutritional science, that's for sure. Giving him the benefit of the doubt, I wonder if he meant in emergency situations to just get more sugar in your body. Luckily, we have David and his vast medical experience and knowledge to help us work out some of the medical things that arise!
I am hoping for a tenacious Tuesday for us all!
I your description of the scene in your classroom today. What lovely teacher you are! :)

LOL! I try! After Mr. Fiske came and did the science activity with them, I had to lay into them but good! They were so disrespectful towards him I was utterly embarrassed! Mr. Fiske is in his late 70s. He volunteers his time 3 times per year to come to our school and work with the kids. He is really very good. Today's activity was creating scale models of the solar system using adding machine tape. It was a great visual to help kids understand the vastness of space. The students were so busy chatting and not paying attention that they missed simple directions. Some of the kids even spoke loudly enough while Mr. Fiske was giving directions I could identify their voices. Sooooo not okay! Sometimes they just need a little come to Jesus meeting! This group is rather undisciplined overall, but today just chapped my hide, ruffled my feathers, and got me madder than a wet hen! One thing I can not abide is disrespect of elders.
Hey friends! Another check in from me! Nice to catch up on what you all are doing. Weather sucks here too.
Spent a good part of the day today editing wedding pics. DS#2 took some with my camera but most were too blurry to even use. He did video tape the ceremony and I was able to grab some still images from that to use. Not the best quality but better than nothing!
Kevin is sleeping after working last night but when he wakes up we will get some exercise in and then probably go out to eat and negate the calories burned through exercise!
Maui vacation starts Feb. 18th! So looking forward to that! Not sure if my summer clothes will fit all that well, but I'll make due.
Love to you all!
Paula

I'm not losing much weight lately, thanks to all my "experimentation" with moderating trigger foods and my pretty full social calendar this month. But I'm not gaining any either.
And speaking of my full January social calendar, some of the men at the local brew pub talked me into joining their monthly poker group, which met last night. They said, "We've always wanted to have women join us, but nobody ever does." I've known many of these men for years and years. They're genuinely nice people; most are married, and nobody ever hits on me (NOT what I'm looking for!). Anyway, I had a good time. But boy, was I reminded that men socialize so differently from women. And boy, some of variations of poker they play are so silly, e.g., with wild cards that change throughout a single game. The most anyone can lose is $20, so I like that, too.
Anyway, last night the host served pizza. Thank goodness, it was thin crust, which was good (I had two slices), and he served a little salad on the side. I agreed to be the host next month and will make sure we'll all eat more vegetables than last night. ;)
Last night's lateness (I got home after ten o'clock) meant I slept in this morning and didn't have time to post early this morning. But I made it to yoga class, which is what I'd worried the poker might goof up. But it didn't. Yea!
Diane, I thought EXACTLY the same thing about your doctor's and David's respective counsel about your hypoglycemic attack yesterday. What worthless doctorishness your primary physician delivered! And thank goodness for smart, smart David! Liz is right: Get a new primary!
Finally, on the topic of naps, I went to the Interwebz yesterday to learn what "they" have to say, and "they" think naps are da bomb! And because post-lunch I'm already nodding off, I'm about to go take another nap right now. :)
