Weight is slowly returning to its pre mental hiatus range.

15 degrees IS COLD! No debating that. 15 degrees would be cold for anyone!

I am enjoying researching my flooring project. Ron and I looked over samples yesterday and the plan is to put them on the floor today in the light to see which colors we might like. We are sold on bamboo, but are going to look at one more oak sample that is a hybrid between engineered hardwood and vinyl planks called GEOWOOD. It is highly water resistant, but no****erproof. We like the fact that it is a hardwood surface, but has a waterproof backing.

It is close to noon and Ron is still lounging in bed reading. I can't do that. I just can't. LOL! I can lounge in my chair, but I need to be dressed and ready for the day, even if I have had a do nothing morning like today. I'm on cup of coffee number two, haven't eaten, but have puttered about the kitchen, fed puppies and dogs, and generally enjoyed the leisure of a school holiday. Puppies go in for first vaccinations and microchips today. (Yes, the hyper vigilant breeder sells his puppies with microchips so the pups can always be traced back to me and my vet hospital. Believe me, it's come in handy before. I got a call once from a vet hospital in Washington state that they had one of my puppies who was brought in by a client as a lost dog. I called the owner and she went and picked her up.)

So, that's kind of the day ahead. I have some cleaning and organizing I could do, but I'm so good at procrastination I hate to see my record marred. LOL!

Dopamine.... yeah, I love the release during and after a workout. I am going to check out your listicle and see what I could add. You know, that might be a good cross addiction for me... Dopamine Junkie! Better than food, right?

Dopamine cross addiction ... now THERE's an excellent concept. :)

BTW, I wasn't completely joking when I half-suggested he prescribe a dopamine patch for me.

Reality check: There is no dopamine patch.

...

Yet.

Weight 196.

Today was my weigh in day. Down 2.4. So it's all working well. 11.8 pounds in 3 weeks is nothing to sneeze at and yet it just feels slow, when it's not. Maybe it's just the realization of how fast I gained more than that (I'm still 2.4 pounds more than I was when I left for NZ) and how slow the penance is to get it off.

But someone noticed today (likely because my "fat" clothes are too big but I'm still wearing them because my smaller clothes are still too tight). So that was nice.

Not much on today. I went to see my friend's new house, but otherwise I just need to take care of Ferg.

I've never considered my dopamine. Maybe I need to!

12 pounds in 3 weeks is 4 pounds a week. That is fast. Not slow. Good job.

I know! It's warped thinking. It was 6.6, 2.8, 2.4. All way more than good results. And I'm all in all a very patient person. But weight loss is one area where I am not at all patient! It's childish!

Good Morning All , Sipping second cup of tea and trying to wake up after a rough night with knee pain. I will likely regret saying this but the sooner the better to get this knee replaced....... No weight this am

Just work today then I will head over to DSD's with Dinner. Making Chicken Schnitzels and Salad. Made a Peach Cobbler last night for dessert. Looking forward to seeing them all. DH will come on the train after work.

Had a couple of medical apts yesterday. Good news is the skin things Im still getting 4 mths later are not Staph. The bad news is they are not sure what it is and I have now been reffered to a dermotologist for biopsys etc. Need to work out whats going on before I can arrange my knee replacement. Dont need any possible complications going into a big surgery.

Not a lot else to report. I dont need to go to the farm as I had orginally planned as we have the watering system in place and have also had a LOT of very welcome rain. Its fallen across some of the fire areas which is a blessing. Our back deck (city house) has been flooded with the pathway the past 2 afternoons at the city house due to the volume of rain. We spent an hour or so cleaning it all up again last night. Time for a design change I think - playing with some ideas in my head.

Well I had best get myself organised. Very slow today

Have a wonderful evening all x

Boy, feast or famine with the weather there! I'm sorry your knee is misbehaving. You're right. Despite the pain and inconvenience of surgery, you'll be so glad in the long run. Strange about the skin issue. But "not staph" is good! A good dermatologist hopefully can sort you out. We had a family dermatologist who we referred a family friend to when he came back from a trip to South America with weird bug bites and a bad rash. The doctor had answered his own phone when he called to make an appointment and said excitedly, "Ooh, foreign bugs and rashes! Come right over. All I have are zits on the calendar today!" A good doctor loves a good mystery to solve.
