LOL! Our neighbor in Florida "dusts" his house daily with the leaf blower. His wife just goes somewhere and chuckles about it and is happy that she doesn't have to dust. No knick-knacks not attached to something in that house though!

Anne your travel plans are my retirement dreams. I love the open road in all its iterations, and I still get excited opening the door to a new hotel room, what delights might it hold? Last night we booked The Warwick in NYC, and I can't wait to touch the linens and sniff the toiletries.
Liz, it is wonderful to have clergy that know the family. I'm Catholic, and even though I don't accept all doctrine, (for example, whatever heaven is, I know I'll see all my friends of goodwill there, no matter what their faith, even my agnostic friends) the Mass has an ancient rhythm that soothes me.
Cecily people comment on weight way too much! I much prefer compliments like, that's such a nice color on you, or your hair looks lovely today, etc. Even better, notice something about me and compliment that: I love how I can count on you to follow through etc.
Diane S. Sometimes my Dad does these crazy, yet borderline brilliant things. We call it the Finnlander Way. My uncle brought the leaf blower into the kitchen floor to dry it after mopping.
Today was day 1 of finals, and so far so good. There is a storm coming, forecasted to become rapidly falling and blowing snow starting late morning, so our school district has preemptively decided to close two hours early. That allows parents to plan, much better for the little ones, not being sent home to an empty house. But, how will we finish finals. Next Tuesday, students have new schedules, different classes etc. Glad I don't have to come up with solutions to these sorts of problems.
Today I started PT for my hip. Muscles etc very tight, and also weak. So much glute building coming my way.
