Eye roll.... sigh.... The scale is not going down as I anticipated it would. This, of course, speaks to my control and addict issues. I'm hoping that by consciously stating that fact and telling you all here that I am committed to staying on WW BLUE for a full week before contemplating a change to WW GREEN that I will not perseverate on the fact that I'm down a whole 1.6 pounds instead of the 4 or 5 I think I should be down and need to tweak things immediately. Doing my best to trust the process.
I am enjoying being the active participant and the silent observer in this process. A couple things I have noticed is that I am not feeling panicked as I sometimes do when I try to detox from carbs and sugar. Probably because I'm still eating a moderate amount of carbs and even some refined sugar in the evening. Additionally, I am feeling more "well". I don't feel great, but I do feel more "well". Third, the bar code scanner tool on the WW app is proving to be a great help in choice making and meal planning. I found myself using it yesterday in the grocery store when searching for a dinner carb. The quick info really helped to guide my choice.
Is anyone else doing the WW BLUE? IF so, please let me know. I have some questions. I'm happy to ask via PM or on the Tribe page.
Weather is mild, but wet. That's a good thing for CA. LOL! I wish Shirl was having this weather, too. I've been reading about the fires creating their own micro climates and creating fire tornados, etc... It's really just horrendous the damage that is happening there.
Re the Royals: Me thinks that Prince Harry is a bit more like his mum than anyone may have guessed. Will be fun to watch how this proposed change pans out. My guess is that the couple may have been a bit premature in their announcement.
I am doing WW blue, but don't know if I can answer any questions about it yet!

That's exactly what I'm doing. I felt better about it after tracking both ways today. I felt that perhaps my 10 points of food was not an accurate accounting of calories because so much of lunch was 0 points. Both of my snacks, which I have not yet had are also 0 points (eggs, fruit, and NF greek yogurt), but add up to about 390 calories. Without dinner that puts me at about 1000 calories. That's the part that kind of scares me.
Too much. I have 25 points to use, PLUS zero point food. So, let's say I have chicken breast for dinner or eggs... Those are zero points. Then a big salad.... 0 points, maybe 2-3 points for dressing. Then that leaves with the option of eating even more 0 point foods or using up points on carb-o-licious foods. I know I'm being somewhat irrational, but getting the thoughts out of my head and "on paper" for someone else to see/hear seems to help my accountability and thought process.

Couple of thoughts... maybe think of points more as a maximum rather than a requirement. For example, I bet you could eat a full day of zero point food (particularly on purple) and be quite full and satisfied and never touch a pointed food. (Well, I couldn't because I have a particular love of pointed food apparently, but to each his own). So if you're satisfied food-wise and are leaving a bunch of points on the table, so be it!
Second thought, I read somewhere a person asking about how they were ever going to lose weight with so many free foods. The answer was, zero point doesn't mean go crazy and eat as much as you want. One person chimed in and said they have the most success when they eat the stated serving size as zero points, then start counting points over that serving size. So if the serving size for chicken is 3 oz (not sure it is, but go with it), the person would take the first 3 oz as zero points, then deduct points from their day for anything over 3 oz. That may be too much work to figure out, but it's a good reminder to pay attention to serving sizes. Even still, no one in the history of forever ever got fat from eating their fill of lean chicken, veggies, and fruit. It's the pointed stuff that gets us into trouble.
Amen!
Today at class, a brand new member said, "Bananas are free?! Heck, I can eat five bananas in one sitting."
The rest of us side-eyed her just like you imagine we did.
