Quick check in. Off to the vet with Dottie for the second insemination. All your talk about WW must be catching. I haven't started it, but I've lost over 2 pounds. LOL!

More later.

Well said DianeO x Very thankful to be a long distant contributor to this wonderful family/tribe. Wpuld be lost without you all x

Wrapping you in a huge hug this morning Liz as you wake to a time of preparation to celebrate Pauls wonderful life. My love & thoughts are with you all xx

Paula Heres to you and your soon to be DH x Hope you have a wonderful wedding day filled with special memories

Over here, we made it through the past 24 hrs. Havent slept much but thankful we are still safe. We hit a whopping 115 yesterday by 1pm- it was just yuk! Hoping the predicted rain is long & heavy- had about 7 drops whilst out with the chooks earlier then stopped. The smoke is very very thick- harder to breathe. We will stay inside as much as practical today before heading back to our city house late afternoon. Awaiting update on road closures.

Much love as always to you all xx

Greetings All

Wishing everyone good days this year. Especially Liz with all the preparations to be handled. The rituals of passage can be tiring but also comforting. Remember to accept all help offered (if its food its ok to pitch it if its tuna casserole).

And Shirley you are in our thoughts. The news reports are horrific. Don't forget to keep up on the escape routes. The tragedy of the Paradise fire near here was in part due to lack of routes.

I think I might have my word for the year "NOW". But I reserve the right to change it.

Peps, gl on the puppy creation. Do you want 10 or will 6 be enough?

I started reading about trans fats and what I find is confusing. More research needed. I mostly use olive oil here but had to get another oil for popcorn which I have been craving lately.

Didn't make it too the pool today due to sheer lack of organization. So much for NOW.

Take care all and be safe. Diane S

Peanut oil is one of the healthiest oils. It is a vegetable oil that is naturally trans fat-free, cholesterol free, and low in saturated fats. Peanut oil is high in unsaturated fats, especially monounsaturated fat, like the one found in olive oil.

Works well with popcorn on the stove. Will heat up Uber hot for a quick and fierce pop (less likely to burn).

LOL - I would definitely pitch tuna casserole (does anyone make that anymore???). A friend brought pot roast over last night - I think we will keep that.
