Sad but peaceful. My husband Paul passed away today just after my daughter visited him. He was ready. Thank you all for being my friends!

Please accept our sympathy. What a privilege to have "known" Paul through this group and to have followed his struggle. Seems not so long ago that he was driving and going out. Such a cruel and swift disease. Hoping your memories will give you comfort this new year. Diane S

My deepest sympathy. I know we all feel for you and your loss. I am happy, though, that Paul did not linger and suffer long term during the end stage of the disease.

Much love to you and your children. I feel privileged to have shared in your journey through Paul's struggle with Alzheimer's. Thank you for including us all.

Hugs and strength and compassion.

I didn't know your dear husband personally, but I know without a doubt, he was a good man because he engendered such tender, and at times, fierce love from you and your children. I'm so glad you were able to do all that you did so he could pass away peacefully.

I am so saddened at the thought of your loss in the way that a leaving is a leaving no matter what the cir****tances. May you carry the wonderful love the two of you shared for the rest of your days. I do believe Paul has done and holds such a love right now. My prayers are with you and your family.
