I'm waiting for the appraiser to finish writing up the estimate to fix my car bumper (it was rear-ended in May at a stoplight just before we left for home). It is a minor claim, so kind of ridiculous that they are using an independent adjuster vs. just pictures but I guess that why insurance premiums are so high.

DH did not do well at dinner with DS yesterday. He wouldn't sit and kept wandering around the restaurant wanting to leave so DS brought him back to his place. DS had been talking about taking DH out for Thanksgiving which I didn't think was a good idea and he now agrees. Now I'm even wondering about whether it makes sense for Christmas. He did ask DS where "she" was - we assume he means me.

Our friends are here today - I think we are going to the beach.

Have a thoughtful Thursday!

2 hours at the Apple Store today trying to upgrade my phone! Seriously, one day humans will stop using their noodles completely and just give everything over to the computers and we'll all be totally screwed. Long story long, my phone was in the upgrade program (new phone every year, paid monthly with a loan from Citizen's bank), but somehow the loan number never made it into Apple's system, so to them it never existed and therefore couldn't be upgraded. Super nice kid helping me, but the frustration was high at the beginning where he was trying to explain to me like I'm senile how I misunderstood and don't know what program I signed up for. Finally he looked up the original receipt and could see I had signed up for it. The fix was to trade in the phone, use the trade in amount to pay off the loan and start a brand new program with a new phone. But 2. Freaking. Hours. Of kids staring at screens not knowing how to fix what, to the system, didn't exist and therefore couldn't possibly be broken. Argh. At least in the end they were really apologetic.

Aside from that, I walked the dog, had a bowl of soup at Panera while reading my book (pleasant!), saw a gorgeous double rainbow, and went to Costco. Now to play with my new phone...

Gave myself the day off tomorrow to go to a Dr. appointment, routine check up. Except at my age, you know it means lots of routine, follow up tests. I remember years ago I never went to the doctor except for my yearly exam, and would have easily missed that if I didn't need birth control. So sleeping in tomorrow will be nice, and I have a competent sub, so all should be well.

Still stepping the small steps. I'm going to start my Tai Chi here in just a second. Happy Virtual (for me) Friday!
