It has been 2.5 months. I feel like I should be further along by now. I need my other knee done too but it is too early for me to decide. I am eating pain meds too.

My Orth said to me with a full knee replacement I wouldnt like him for around 4 or so months. Less with a partial. By what you are saying that is very true. Its a big surgery.

From what I have heard full knee replacement is one of the toughest orthopedic surgeries one can endure. I think one of the biggest problems today is that MDs are scared to death to prescribe narcotics for pain because of the epidemic of narcotic abuse prevalent in today's society. So people like you, *****ally need the meds to function, can't get adequate pain relief. The longer you are in pain the more difficult it is focus on healing and the flexibility needed to aid your healing.

I'm sorry you are so frustrated about your recovery. I empathize.

Couldnt agree more Peps! Over here you cant even buy a cough medicine with codeine in it over the counter anymore. It needs to be prescription from your Dr. Whilst I understand that there will always be people who abuse the system, there are people who have a genuine need too. Frustrating !
