Hi Everyone, Happy Sunday morning, where we get to play the game, what time is it really? Between digital clocks and clocks that communicate with the cyberworld, and good old ones with hour and minute hands, I get confused.
Yesterday I woke up to snow on my car. Sigh. My car was on the driveway, because our garage is sheltering the millions of leave filled bags I brought inside on Halloween. Hopefully they go to the composite drop off Monday afternoon or Tuesday.
Yesterday was very pleasant, sadly DH had to work, but it gave me time to hang out with bff. We went to my favorite clotted cream coffee shop, and the thrift store next door. Their book collection is fabulous. A volunteer goes through the donations, and puts out a small portion of them. They're easy to peruse, I always see titles I've already read, or intend to read. After that we did a Costco run, followed by Mass.
It was All Souls Day, and during the 4pm Mass, a candle was lit for my sil, and each parishioner that had died that year. The part of the Mass that really tore me up, was after the names had been read and a candle lit for each, the priest invited people to say the names of anyone they wanted to add to the prayer intention. Its a big church, from around the sanctuary, names were shouted, whispered, spoken. So many names. So much loss in this world, so much love for them still.
Bff went to have dinner with her grandchildren, I went home to greet DH. He wanted to go to a movie, so we saw Harriet. It is not without problems, but I enjoyed it. If nothing else, it might re ignite an interest in this incredible woman and her story.
And now, the Sunday paper and some more tea. I hope Sunday brings moments of serenity to us all.
I guess I have to say Good Afternoon as it is already 12:40.
The old carpet and all the staples have been removed from the stairs. Whoever installed that carpet sure didn't want to risk any chance that it would shift. The following hurts in the aftermath of two days of working on it: shoulders, hands, back, neck, arms. But at least the destruction is done. Of course now I have to fill holes, sand and paint.
I went to see a local band with friends last night. It was fun and I even danced.
The rest of today is devoted to resting my body though I will probably take a beach walk with Justice when my back calms down. Yesterday I let him run for a bit on the beach off his leash and he flew around joyously. He has also started to become much more social with other dogs as a result of meeting so many friendly ones on the beach. This former stray seems to be rather happy with his life these days. Which helps me.
Have a super Sunday!

I sound like the old ladies who talk about their health and after three days away from heavy physical activity, I feel like one ! I'm up four pounds, two pounds over my range. Between the IV fluids, coming off Lasix, and laying around for two+ days AND having to eat protein and fat with minimal carbs every 2-3 hours, I can't say I'm surprised ! I have to test and record my glucose upon waking, and 1,2, and 3 hours after every meal and significant snack. My finger pads are bruised after being on blood thinners in the hospital. I have to do this two weeks for the endocrinologist to review in conjunction with my detailed MFP food diary. Taking the quantity from three meals and one snack, and redistributing it to three meals and three snacks is daunting. Come hell or high water, I'm doing strength training and laps at the Y tomorrow ! I've come too far to let this derail me !

Good Morning All
Working from the farm today - best place to be. We got some rain yesterday which was very welcome. Gorgeous sunset last night - its truely is paradise here. Oh and a picture of DH furbaby - looking almost angelic with the sunset backlighting ha ha ha
Today will just be work, maybe taking my other SIL to the Dr as she has a nasty virus - made her Thai Pumpkin Soup yesterday and took it over. Then DH has some friends coming over around 3pm for afternoon tea. Will make some scones and a nibble platter. We said they are welcome to stay for dinner as well if they wish. Im making Silverside, mash and Veg. Nice and simple. Will make a pudding if they stay or a fruit platter......
Diane - You are in my thoughts lots. You have been through a lot. Be kind to yourself x
Cec - Great pics of your NZ farm stay :) Little lambs are the cutest
DD - your day sounds lovely with your BFF
Liz - You have been very industrious :) I am sure it will look amazing once finished
Hello to all that follow - I best go and get myself organised, a load of washing on and think about some breakfast
Love to you all

Been out for a while. Adalyn shared her stomach bug with me. Lasted 4-5 days. 2 of which I did not get out of bed. Started feeling better yesterday. Feeling much better today. Weight is 250. So with the carb cravings I jumped up 3 lbs and the stomach bug took it back off. Good thing is that after lying in bed for 3 days my knee pain has gotten better.
Sounds like a lot of changes going on in the group.
DD, we have to reset most of our clocks. We have one that is supposed to automatically reset. For the past 3 months it has been 10-15 min off. I really don't know what time it is.
Diane4dlm, most people poke the middle of the finger pad to stick for blood. Try off to the side of the finger pad. Not the side of the finger because that really hurts. Also it is important to rotate the poke sites. I need to study up on reactive hypoglycemia.
Liz, Working on stairs always got to me because of the position that you have get in just to work on them. I bet you used a different set of muscles than normal. Rest up.
Shirl, I hope you are healing fast. Those bacterial infections are nothing to play around with.
Ann, glad you made it back home safely. You looked like you bathed in happiness while you were in France.
Peps, I have never hit the gym 5 of 7 days. You should be proud of yourself. And how do you tell when your pup has reflux?
DianeS, hope you still have power. Driving remote adventurous roads at night does not sound fun.
BB, Halloween at your house looked fun. Balancing work, career and family is tough.
Cecily, I hope you are having fun travels.
