- Rough landing in November for me, as I start us off from my hospital bed. Cold sweats and heart palpitations led to disorientation last night and DH ended up calling 911. A fib and low potassium caused them to admit me. Echocardiogram this AM to make sure valve reflux is not worse. NOT heart attack or stroke.

I was back home by 8 last night and there were still trick or treaters in the neighborhood until 8:30 or so. In our former town it had to be between 5-7. I don't know why there aren't time boundaries here. They lucked out because it was windy and about 70 with no rain during the evening. And I bought no candy so have none in my house. Win!
Yesterday I had a good lunch with my co-worker, talking about keeping busy (he is widowed and retired), community service projects, ways to determine scholarship recipients, whether to keep our houses or not, etc. Totally unlike talking to the previous days bore about how wonderful he was.
Driving home was a 3 hour challenge for what would be a 2 hour drive without traffic, but there is no easy way to weave through or around Boston during commuter time.
Today is yoga, visiting DH, and taking Justice for a long walk. If the wind calms down maybe I'll combine the last two but the beach would be a tough walk right now with the wind gusting to 50 MPH.
Monday is DS double hernia surgery. I'm sure it will go smoothly but I dread dealing with the aftermath of the anesthesia. I'm hoping his timing allows for me to do my Monday yoga.
Have a fix-it-up Friday, especially Diane.

Yikes OceanDiane! What a scary time (no joke). Glad its not heart attack or stroke and hope they can get you better. We all need to remember to keep hydrated and take our supplements. BP meds can cause loss of potassium.
We are grateful that you are doing ok Diane and hope you can come home soon and that self care continues. Ditto to everyone else.
Halloween report" we had a fun little party and 399 kids including a 6 foot tall "kid" in a Hello Kitty outfit. Took guts for this young man to wear that! WE all laughed our heads off.

Another week has flown by. It is the last day of quarter 1. 3 more to go! No plans for tonight, and delighted to report this.
As I mentioned to Liz, I'm very happy not to have passed out candy last night. No leftovers to obsess over. I figure the treats I bought for my after school club was my good deed for Halloween.
House is quiet now that we are empty nesters again. One advantage, I can go hard core on my eating plan. DS is always so appreciative of home cooked meals, and I enjoyed doing that. But now DH would like a week or so of low carb, so one of us will be grilling up some steaks or hamburger patties etc. My default, bacon and eggs :). But first, tomorrow includes a trip to my favorite coffee shop for the irresistible clotted cream and scones. Some indulgences are totally worth the price.
Jeez Louise! Gad, I hope they figure this out soon.
BTW, did I miss some medical developments while I was gone?
