Hooray for cookie victories!

Your son's "buy it as he needs it" response is all man. Most women feather their nests in advance, most men wait to be poked in the butt by a twig before considering feathers...

You go! Those free baked goods in the staff lounge are so hard to resist. I applaud your resolve!

Today one of our kindergarten teachers brought in one of her father's bundt cakes. He makes them for the staff fairly regularly. Anyhow, today's bundt cake was wild blueberry and chocolate chunk, drizzled with lemon cream icing. Oh, HELL YES I had a nibble, even though I set my goal of no sugar at school! Not gonna lie, this man's baked goods are worth every bite. I harbor not ill will towards myself for this transgression!

But..... I ate none of the free chocolate lying about! SCORE.

I take my wins where they lie!

Aim for more good decisions than indulgent ones and I think eventually you come out the winner! So a slice of delicious bundt cake while avoiding endless bags of Halloween candy definitely leaves you with more wins.

LOL on DS denying you your fun. When DD moved into her apartment, I did shop with her mostly because she hates shopping and I love it.
