Monday, 10/21 - this is just WRONG!
I have this: Mocha Master
It makes a fantastic cup of coffee. It is made in the Netherlands, I believe. It is simple to use - simple on and off switch (which is what I wanted). It has also lasted longer than any other coffee maker I have ever had. Well worth the price considering how much those Jura makers go for! Anyway, the Mocha Master was recommended to me by a total coffee snob. I couldn't fathom spending $300 on a coffee machine when my old Mr. Coffee could be had for $29, but once I tasted the coffee it made, I got it! I splurged and have NEVER regretted it - EVER!
Your trip sounds fantastic! And since you're starting from the west coast not quite as long of a flight as from here.
I really lucked out, my Kuerig is at least 7 years old. I mainly use it for instant ho****er to make tea, but it's nice to able to make guests a cup of coffee. DH and I both drink espresso, or espresso with steamed milk. We have a Nespresso for that, and I love it! When the Kuerig breaks, I'll probably replace it with a electric tea pot. My son is really the coffee guy, he grinds his beans, heats his water, and does a pour over.

Good Morning All,
Quickly popping in from the farm. We got up late last night. And so it begins..... the final week none of us want to have happening but it is. We have SIL viewing tonight and most of our kids will be arriving at different times around 10pm - driving up after work. DH and I are working from the farm today. There is much to do but its good to keep busy. Dont dare stop at present. Photo tribute is done and her family are very happy so I can release the self imposed pressure to do her memory justice.
Weight yesterday 174.02 - People are saying I look smaller but Im holding steady. Food serves a need at the moment to keep me going energy wise but Im not passionate about it. Grief is a complex beast indeed
Tommorrow is her funeral service followed by nibbles at one of the lovely restuarants near the river. The funeral will be huge. Im guessing between 200-300. The hospital is holding a memorial service at some stage too - we will try and come back up for that one too. Thursday will be her burial at Yackandandah. Its a stunning cemetry that sits right on top of a beautiful range. We will all rest there together one day. Small comforts. We are expecting at least 60 -70 back to my other SIL after the private burial. In true country style there is much baking and cooking going on so Im sure no one will starve. I made 8 dozen mini quiches the other day and a huge Bacon and Zuch Slice. I will also make 4 batches of scones before we leave tommorrow and take over some sweet potato wedges with sour cream and sweet chilli sauce.
We head home late Thursday night so as to return to work then DH and I are going to stay with DSS as its our Grandsons 2nd birthday Friday. Will be lovely to spend time with him. We will help prepare for his party Saturday. I have cooked for that one too. Sunday I have said is a total BLOB day and I think will be much needed. No cooking no chores just rest. I think by then we will be well and truely exhausted.
I have tried to keep up with posts but failed miserably. Just wanted to send my love to you all and tell you I miss you. Our lives will return to more routine next week as the next phases kicks in. Just miss her so very much.......

I am struggling to keep up with posts after a busy weekend, but I'm here!
I have been sleeping later since DH moved so I don't have as much time in the am if I have an activity. I had yoga today, which is getting easier again as I get into the swing of things.
Today I thought I'd try intermittent fasting (eating window noon to 8). I'm not that hungry in the am, but I do a lot of damage from 7-9 at night. So I decided to eat breakfast at noon and just had lunch at 5. Both were high protein so super filling. I plan to eat another high protein dinner between 7:30 and 8. I'll let you know how it goes! If I find it works and I can sustain it for a solid week I might feel able to look at the scale again. I would really like to get back into my clothes comfortably again in a month or so.
I had a good visit with DH today after a couple of days away. The last time I was there he was crying but today he was happy again (whew).
Shirl, so sorry for the loss of SIL. You never know what the future will be.
BB, I struggled with the at home vs working Mom issue too which is why part-time was ideal for me.
Devon, it sounds like you have a good perspective on eating/dieting now and you are in fantastic physical shape.
Diane S, I'm glad that your brother seems better right now.
Diane O, I hope you figured out how to get your bloodwork done early. I'm with you on the timing - my PCP's lab is open at 7 thank goodness.
Dave, I hope you get that range of motion with your knee.
DiamondD, I'm glad you had a great time at the wedding over the weekend!
Miss150, Bells Palsy stinks but at least you feel better after the sinus infection and hopefully it will resolve soon.
Cecily, Can't wait to hear about your upcoming trip and see pictures!
I hope I didn't forget anyone!!!!
