Thanks for the read! The article confirmed my understanding of collagen protein supplementation. It is exactly what I want for joint, ligament, and tendon health. The fact that it will help my skin is an added plus. I was unaware that it lacked the one amino acid of the 9 essential amino acids.

Was able to manage another quest bar today without any ill effects. I will try a whey protein tomorrow or Saturday when I have easy access to a bathroom. Just in case, you know.... LOL!

I hear you on the whey! Some days I have no problem with it. Other days, I'm glad to be home alone!

Busy day today. Started with PT. I am not getting the range of motion that I want to get. Stuck at 107 degrees the last 3 visits. Supposed to be advancing 3-4 degrees. Needs to be more than 120 degrees or they will take me back to the OR and force it. Cut up a small walnut log yesterday. Cut it 1.25 thick and stacked it in the shop to see how fast it will dry in the conditioned space. It was kind of a junk log but I have been looking at end grain cutting board patterns. It will do fine for that. Moving some things that are not included in the sale of DS and DIL pharmacy. The woodworking stuff came here and some farm stuff went to DS s. Also it is our anniversary. I asked her if she wanted to go out to eat. She said not really. So we came home and ate casserole. Not very romantic but we still love each other.
more later, david

Happy Anniversary! No better way to celebrate but to know the joy of truly enjoying the company of each other.

Spent the day drinking wine, reminiscing, and enjoying the scenic beauty of the drive along the Great River Road on the banks of the Mississippi. My husband drove his passengers me, my best friend, and one of our college roommates. My husband knows these "gals" very well too,and they were both bridesmaids in our wedding 32 years ago. I felt better about today's eating than yesterday. Pretty much a lot of cheese, dome crackers, some olives... And a good amount of red wine on a sunshiny fall day.
