Eddie Murphy? Nope, don't see it!

Stress level was pretty intense this morning on my way to work. Felt like I wanted to "hurl". It wasn't real nausea, just an unsettled super icky to my core type of stress. Work related - evaluation induced, what I know I should do according to mandate vs. 'what is best for students' stuff... Gets to me.

Did something which took effort on my part today. I have a grooming scheduled for Sunday. I have my dinner with Shirl and I also have out of town friends coming in for the weekend. I want to see both my dog friends and meet Shril and John and not groom the dog. I cancelled the grooming so I can do what I want to do on my days off rather than please a client who will no longer be a client in a couple of months. Yes, I feel somewhat guilty, but not guilty at the same time. I am happy with my decision. It feels almost naughty! LOL!

Ella has started her hormonal rise, so I'm expecting her to ovulate within the next 3 to 4 days with breeding beginning by Tuesday. She might go more slowly, but that's sort of what I'm thinking. Means the next week at the house will be a bit of chaos with the two boys in a dither, horny and inconsolable being separated from the aphrodisiac that is known as Ella. Poor Ace woke me up in a tizzy last night because Ella needed to go out. It was as if he was an excited teenage boy saying, "Dad, dad, Ella needs to go out. You need to get up. Dad....." Then looks over at Ella with a sly wink as if to say, "See, baby, I've got your back." He's never done anything like that before, so it really charmed the socks off of me - even if it meant getting up at 3:55 am to let them out.

I am having a "fat" day. Probably because it's Picture Day at school and I'm up suddenly 2-3 pounds this week. It happens. Well, come on.... at 266 I can't really claim thin or lean... So, I'm owning it and trying to be okay with my truth. At least I am able to claim FIT! My fitness goal for today is to attempt push ups with claps in between each push up. Never done it, and think I should give it a try.

Can't wait to meet Shirl fo the Tremendous Tribe on Sunday.

Update from my bed. My son came in and said Mumsie, what's for dinner. To be honest, not sure how I answered, but next thing I knew he was showing me the take out menu from a sub shop. He should be back with dinner soon. :)

Greetings All

Not much new here. Tesla the doggie was at the vet today getting her hips x-rayed to determine she is hopefully free of hip dysplasia and worthy of having puppies. They also did dentistry and she had an assessed molar! Who knew. Glad its taken care of. She is home and resting waiting to be pampered by DH. I have already ground up cooked chicken in the food processor for her. Also rice.

Hey Ann, have fun on the road trip. Hope you get to drive some. My SIL took people on a tour of the mills of missouri through all those old mills. I visited one once and they are so cool. You probably know where they are.

LOL Cecily, on reporting those absurd conversations. I too am guilty of listening in to such stuff. Hard to keep from laughing.

Last night we watched "Mary Queen of Scotts". It was quite good. I wonder what the fascination is with these old fussy people and their highly ritualized lives but it sure intrigues.

Is anyone tired of hearing the word "perfect"? Every single question at the rental car place was responded with "perfect" and today it was the same at CVS. Hate the word.

Yep I am going to do the health club as soon as this cold expires.

I am guilty of using "perfect" too much. Will work on that. My nails-on-a-chalkboard word is "amazing". Everything and everyone is ah-mazing!
