Lazy, gray Sunday. Maybe I'll go out and walk just so I don't feel like a total slug. I can listen to my audible book. My lunch menu yesterday turned out to terrific. Yay!

Just finished Hummer Tour of Joshua Tree and Oh my!!!! Stunning. We loved it. Will post again later when we get to Long Beach. Heading for Palm Springs Aerial Tramway en route

You are a brave driving pair - especially in that So Cal traffic! For those of you not too familiar with California, Anaheim to the "Desert" (Palm Springs to Indio - the Coachella Valley) is a several hour trek. Then back to Long Beach on a Sunday can be a test of patience, indeed. Traffic is HELLACIOUS in So Cal. I think Ceci will back me on that!

If you have time while in Long Beach, there are a couple of fun places to eat. The Crab Pot in Long Beach is well worth a visit! It's off the beaten track a bit, but you can sit with beautiful views of the harbor and eat seafood to your heart's content. Of course, the portions are huge, but it's the experience that counts!

If you are in the downtown area near the Convention Center or Queen Mary, Shoreline Village is a fun and touristy destination! There is a store on the pier called Hot Licks that has wonderful sauces of varying heats! I get lost in there! Parker's Lighthouse offers fine dining and again, lovely views. Personally, I like the little pizzeria in the village (It's called Gilan. I've heard it changed hands, so I don't know if is as charming as it used to be).

Thanks Peps, the drive was good- traffic flowed and we did it in just over a couple of hours. DH is doing all the driving & I am the co-pilot. Its working fairlu well- we are still married ha ha ha

i should have been home by now but horrible united airlines canceled our flight. No options but to go tomorrow so we are holed up in holiday inn until tomorrow. United is really gonna hear about this! And then a really long layover in sf. I am going to demand a free pass to the United club.

class reunion was fun - saw all my old besties and learned who is dead.

so glad for my iPad and some cheap wine purchases at a gas station
