6.2 miles yesterday through a mosquito infested forest. Thank heavens for bug spray. But parts were very pretty. The last few days here have felt very fall like.
Dinner was at friends' house last night. I overdid on appetizers, but given that I hadn't had much the rest of the day, I think it balanced out. Still feeling committed to turning things around.
I am SO WITH YOU re turning things around. I've spent much of this morning recalling (in a good way) how wonderful it felt to be comfortable in my skin.

Greetings Special Ones
I though a lot about posting yesterday and what to say but somehow failed to do it. So here I am today on the 160 ledge. Yesterday I ate an actual sandwich! Well part of one - tossed half the bread into the trash before I could reconsider. It was a sandwich of avocado and chèvre and grilled onions! I had been craving it since I first saw one months ago and since I dashed out the door having only had a glass of skim milk, I justified it. Anyway, done and out of my craving zone.
Gallery duty yesterday during which I ate said sandwich. Slow but I listened to 60's folk music and played iPad games.
Ann glad you are back. France in October!!!??? So love that you take all these fun sounding trips.
And yep Diane O, I third the lace cap hydrangea. I have one in my yard. They grow well around here. Also have one at the fresh fudge art gallery. Mine had to be cut back to paint the deck but It is blooming and will recover. I am sure you could grow one where you live. There are different rules about how to prune the lace caps vs the other kind but I can't remember them.
DD, glad you had a great time in Ireland. How could you not!
Cecily congrats on your garden success. You to Dave. Now you have to eat those cukes. My favorite thing to dip into hummus.
I am considering getting one of those giant tricycles for old people. Last time I rode my bike I fell and got scraped. I just don't have good balance or reflexes anymore.
I am going to try to post a picture of the naked ladies flowers which signal the approach of fall.
Ick Cecily, mosquitoes. Hate them. Glad the bug spray works for you.
County fair today. Maybe I can drag DH there. Good place to shop for tie dyed clothes to wear to my high school reunion.
Take care all. Diane S
Tie dyed clothes for a high school reunion ... c'est parfait!

My Mom has one of those "adult tricycles" at their Florida house. So during one visit, I was riding it to the pool, when my then 12 year old son began racing me on his skateboard. I began peddling that trike as fast as it could go. It began vibrating. The street ended and I needed to turn left. I leaned, but unlike a bicycle, a tricycle does not bank. Instead of turning, I shot straight ahead, and crashed into a tree in someone's yard!!! And to add insult to injury, I knocked off one of the cute streamers AND clearly, my son won the race. Although he did ask if I was okay once he stopped laughing. So my advice, adult tricycles are very stable and easy to operate vehicles as long as you don't race them.
