Sharing pics....
This is my finger a week after the coffee burn. It's pretty clear to me why it hurt so terribly when it happened. I am reminded of the woman who sued McDonald's years ago serving scalding hot coffee which burned her legs so terribly.
And this next one is why I still teach. It is the utter joy of working with these little kids day in and day out the fills my heart. This little guy has anxiety. He came last week with his sisters to "meet" me, though I've known him since he was in Kindergarten. This was taken after school. He had a good day! (PS - the little girl in the background with the butterfly on her shirt is definitely a work in progress. Impulsive, academically challenged, but smart, and a super duper dysfunctional family. My goal is to turn her this year. She's totally worth the savings and the effort - though there are days I'm gonna want to pull HER hair. This I already know. Wish me luck. )
These kids are so lucky to have you!
