Shocker ... it's me. And it looks like I've decided to live.
That sounds melodramatic (and terribly boring) and I don't fully understand what happened to me these last two months. But it just did. I hope and think and even believe that the darkness will continue to recede.
Anyway, I wanted to contribute to the group by starting a Saturday thread.
As always, thank you all for being here, however you are when you arrive here, and whether (or not) you're posting or even reading. I know you're there.

It's good to hear your voice. Hardly melodramatic or boring, depression is as real as any other health issue. If you want melodrama, let me tell you about my hand ....
Overcast and drizzle today, which is probably good, because every day I wake up, and instead of taking care of business in the house, I've been outdoors playing. I did manage to get some groceries into the house yesterday.
In the evening we went to an Irish Fair in St. Paul. Not sure how it happened, as we were looking for a place to park, we didn't want to pay $20. I rolled down my window and asked a security person, I see a shuttle stop, is there a satellite lot we can park in and shuttle over. He reached in and put a permit on our dash and said, how did that get there? You have a permit to park in the vendors lot right here. We bought some cookies to give him when we were leaving, but couldn't find him again, so son got a treat when we got home. Another act of random kindness, there was a group selling tours. Despite the fact our trip if fully booked, one of their agents spent 30 minutes giving us tips to make our trip better. Really great information! We'll use all of it.
Ended previous post before I was done, because DH called for me to come to breakfast. If someone has cooked you breakfast, you don't say, I'm busy posting, be there in a few minutes. :)
Today, again, my plans are to start packing, cleaning, and picking up a few necessities for our trip like a travel sized hairspray. Instead I'm going to a birthday party! DH has to work, but I'm going to celebrate a dear friend who is celebrating 85 years, and soon will be celebrating 60 years of marriage. They are the parents of my husband's best friend, and as we call them, our chosen family. We have the family we are born with, and the family we chose. Luckily for us, we have both given and chosen family to love.
Hope everyone spends some time this weekend with people they love. I pray that being with loved ones today brings comfort to Shels family as they celebrate her incredible life.

Good to hear from you. Depression is a thief. My mom keeps trying to figure mine out. I told her I hope she never understands it.
DW, DD and Adalyn all took a day trip to visit family.
I have had a project I have wanted to start for years but the wood was not dry enough. I measured the moisture content and it was 8.6 percent. Needs to be under 10. So I have been breaking down the boards into parts. Planing them to get everything straight enough to glue into a workbench. This really slows down the cleaning of the shop.
Eating is not great today. Woke last night at 12:30. Trying not to nap so I can sleep tonight.
More later, David
